极端工作狂
福尔摩斯是个极端工作狂,有案可破时,浑身似有使不完的精力,在无事可做时却萎靡不振。

可是常常也会上来一股相反的劲头,整天地躺在起居室的沙发上,从早到晚,几乎一言不发,一动不动。
他这样描述自己对任何可以刺激头脑的事物的渴求:

文艺范儿
福尔摩斯会拉小提琴的这个设定无疑给这个严肃冷静的侦探形象增添了一抹浪漫色彩。

但对于福尔摩斯个人来说,小提琴似乎是帮助他思考的工具。

特殊记忆技能
大家都知道卷福那个神乎其神的思维宫殿(MindPalace),这是他帮助自己记忆的方法。
原著中的福尔摩斯,并没有那么大的宫殿,他用的是一个大脑阁楼(brain-attic)。

福尔摩斯之所以有实力让一代又一代的侦探小说迷折服,主要是因为他的一套推理演绎法(theScienceofDeduction)。
我们来看看他自己是怎样解释的。
