摘要

在每年两会期间召开的记者招待会上，国家领导人经常会引用一些古诗词、谚语、典故等表达方式，它们内涵丰富，中国文化色彩浓厚。

如何把它们翻译好，让国内外的媒体理解，又不失原表达的美感，给译员的现场口译工作也提出了很大的挑战。

本论文以温家宝总理的记者招待会为例，重点分析了汉译英口译中的古诗词和具有中国特色的表达方式及口译员现场翻译时所采取的策略，如：

直译、直译加解释、意译、增添翻译、替代翻译等。

同时，本论文也对一些汉译英口译中出现的赘述、译员不理解导致的误译、译文前后不连贯等问题予以分析，并提出解决方案。

希望能够对以后的口译研究和实践有所借鉴意义。

srapideconomicdevelopmenthasattractedworldwideattention;

asaresult,theworldistakingeveryopportunitytolearnmoreaboutthepoliciesoftheChinesegovernmentandtheprospectsofChina.OneoftheeffectivewaystheycandothatisthroughthePressConferencesheldduringNPCandCPPCCeveryyear.AndwhatmakesitpossiblefortheothercountriestounderstandChinainthePressConferencesisinterpretation.

DuringthePressConferences,thePremierwouldoftenexpresshisideasbywayofancientChinesepoemsandexpressionswithdistinctiveChinesecharacteristics,whichcanposeahugechallengetotheinterpretersduetothedifferencesincultureandlanguagebetweenChinaandothercountries.Properinterpretationsoftheseculture-richexpressionscanaddtothebeautyoforiginalmessages,whileimproperones,ontheotherhand,notonlycanconfusetheaudience,butsometimescanhaveseriousconsequences,evendoharmtoChina'

2.1DefinitionsofConferenceInterpreting

Beforewemoveontoconferenceinterpreting,itisnecessarytoknowaboutinterpretationfirst,fortheknowledgeofithelpsusbetterunderstandconferenceinterpreting.

AsMeiDeming（2006）hassaid,interpretation,asabridgeincross-culturalexchanges,meansthetransformationoftheinformationonehasperceivedandunderstoodamongdifferentlanguagesinapreciseandswiftmannerorally.

Conferenceinterpreting,abranchofinterpretation,canbedividedintotwocategories,consecutiveinterpretation,whichisoftenusedindiplomaticmeetings,banquetsaddresses,PressConferences,businessnegotiations,academicseminarsandsoon,onwhichoccasionstheinterpreterlistenstopartorallofthespeech,thenstartsinterpretingwiththehelpofnotes;
