3.contain,include和hold的区别:
(1)contain指某种容器“装有、容纳”某物,宾语作为组成部分被“包含”或“容纳”在内。
表示包含所含之物的全部或部分。

Theboxcontainssomeoldletters.盒子里装着一些旧信。
(2)include意为“包含,包括”,指将某物作为整体中的一部分包括在内,其主语和宾语为同一类事物。

(3)hold强调包含能力,作“(能)容纳,(能)装”讲。

注意:

辨析:
workon和workat
workon意为“从事/进行某项工作”,后接名词、代词或动名词。
(1)workon与workat两者都有“从事于,致力于”之意,常可互换。
但workat可用于
任何时态,而workon一般多用于进行时和完成进行时;
workon还有“继续工作”之意,而workat还有“在某地工作”之意;
(2)workon所说的sth是work的具体对象;
workat提到的sth只说明所从事工作的性质(即时间、精力用在某一方面的事情上),而不在于说明正在做什么。
