摘要
《罗密欧与朱丽叶》是莎士比亚著名的爱情悲剧之一。
罗密欧与朱丽叶这一对恋人相亲相爱,他们忠于自己的爱情,忠于自己的誓言。
他们为了获得幸福,不顾任何冷酷的现实,最后他们双双殉情自杀。
莎士比亚正是通过罗密欧和朱丽叶的爱情悲剧,把爱情题材和文艺复兴时期的社会矛盾联系起来,批判了封建道德观念,表现了人文主义追求个人自由和个人幸福的理念。
本文通过分析《罗密欧与朱丽叶》的人物性格特点及及其家庭来揭露在社会主义宗教改革和人文主义思想下的人物性格特点及封建家庭中的婚姻观。

ABSTRACT
RomeoandJulietisoneofthefamouslovetragediesofShakespeare.Asacouple,RomeoandJulietwhoweredeeplyattachedtoeachotherwereloyaltotheirloveandfaithfultotheiroath.Inordertoobtainhappiness,theywereregardlessofanycoldreality,andfinallytheloverscommittedsuicidetogetherforlove.ShakespearecorrelatedthesubjectmatterworksoflovewithsocialcontradictionsintheRenaissanceperiodthroughthelovetragedyRomeoandJuliet,criticizedthefeudalmoralconceptandexpressedthatthehumanismaimsatpursuingconceptsofpersonalfreedomandpersonalhappiness.ThispaperwillanalyzecharactersandfamiliesinRomeoandJuliettoexposethecharacteristicsofcharactersandmarriageviewoffeudalfamiliesundertheinfluenceofsocialistreligiousreformandhumanisticideas.

WilliamShakespeare(1564-1615)wasanEnglishdramatistandpoetandgenerallyregardedasthegreatestwriterintheEnglishlanguage.Hewrote37playsand154sonnetsinhislifetime.Hisimagination,hisrichnessoflanguageandhisdeepunderstandingofhumanbehaviorshadmadehimuniversallyknownandloved.HisinfluenceonEnglishliteratureandonthewritersofothercountriesisimmense.Shakespeareisoneofthefoundersofrealisminworldliterature.Hisdramaticcreationoftenusedthemethodofadaptations.Hislongexperiencewiththestageandhisintimateknowledgeofdramaticartthusacquiredmakehimamasterhandforplaywriting.HewasagreatmasteroftheEnglishlanguage.Hewasskilledinmanypoeticforms:
thesong,thesonnet,thecouple,andthedramaticblankverse.

Shakespearewaslivingduringtherenaissanceperiod.TheEnglishrenaissancewaslargelyliteraryandachieveditsheightduringtheElizabethanperiod.Theagewasespeciallysignificantforthreeliteraryforms:
thedrama,poetryandprose.Mostofthewritersintheeraoftherenaissanceweresometimescalledhumanists.InShakespeare’sworksvoicedthehumanaspirationforfreedomandequalityandagainstthefeudalrule.Livinginthehistoricalperiodofthetransitionfromfeudalismtocapitalism,Shakespearefaithfullyandvividlyreflectedthesocietythroughahostoftypicalcharactersinhisplays.

RomeoandJulietisShakespeare’searliestgreatsuccessintragedy,whichcombinesatragicsituationwithcomedyandgaiety.Theplayisanexposureoftheoldfeudalworldwithitsinternalstrifeanditsunnaturalhumanrelations.Thoughthetwoinnocentloversdieintheend,theplayhasnothingofpessimisminit.Thebalconysceneandthepartingscenearetwogreatlovescenesintheworld'sliterature.Thisplayhasalwaysremainedafavoritewithyoungreadersandaudience.ThetextofRomeoandJulietintheOxfordcopyoftheFirstFoliowasalmostthumbedtopiecesbyeagerstudentsoftheseventeenthcentury.

”RomeodescribedJulietlikethis.Theyfellinlovewitheachotherdeeplyatthefirstsight.Inthegarden,withthemoonlight,theyexpressedtheirlove.Theygotmarrysecretly.Itseemedthatitwasthelinethatthesituationwouldturnaround.Noonewouldhavethoughtthatafterafewhourstheywoulddepart.RomeowastobebanishedbecausehekilledJuliet’scousinwhokilledRomeo’sgoodfriend.Julietwasingreatsorrow.Misfortunesnevercomesingly.Julietwasforcedtomarryanotherone.ThatnightRomeosecretlyclimbedJuliet’sroom.Itseemedtobeafarewell.Hehadtoleaveinthemorning.Itwasneverhopedthearrivalofthedawn.BeforegotmarryJuliettookthesleepingdeathmedicinefollowingtheadviceofapriestnamedFriarLawrencewhosentalettertoRomeototellthefact.HoweverRomeodidn’treceivethemessage.Withgriefandmadness,withpoison,hecametothetomb.BecausehethoughtJuliethadalreadydeadhetookthepoison.JustatthismomentJulietwokeup.Julietfoundherhusband’sdeathandsuicidedatonce.WhenthepriestFriarLawrencetoldtheirlovingstorytotheirfamilymembersthetowfamiliesfinallybroketheirbarriers.Theyturnedtheirconflictsandhatredintofriendship.Agoldenstatuswassettomemorytheirgreatlove.

Shakespeare'sJulietwasveryyoung;herfatherstatesthatshe"hathnotseenthechangeoffourteenyears".Thesacredloversarereunitedonthesamedeathbed.BoththeirfamiliesrealizedwhattheyhaddonebytryingtoseparatethestarcrossedloverswiththeeffectthattheCapuletsandMontaguesarereunitedandtheirfightingended.Shediesattheendoftheplay.

Inthebeginningoftheplay,Romeopinedforanunrequitedlove,Rosaline.Tocheerhimup,hisfriendsBenvolioandMercutiotookhimtotheCapulets'celebrationindisguise,wherehemetandfellinlovewiththeCapulets'onlydaughter,Juliet.Laterthatnight,hemetJulietsecretlyandpledgedtomarry,despitetheirfamilies'long-standingfeud.Theymarriedthefollowingday,buttheirunionwassoonthrownintochaosbytheirfamilies;Juliet'scousinTybaltdueledandkilledRomeo'sfriendMercutiothatthrewRomeointosucharagethathekilledTybalt,andthePrinceofVeronasubsequentlybanishedhim.Meanwhile,Juliet'sfatherplannedtomarryherofftoParis,alocalaristocrat,withinthenextfewdays,threateningtoturnheroutonthestreetsifshedidn’tfollowthrough.Desperate,JulietbeggedRomeo'sconfidant,FriarLaurencetohelphertoescapetheforcedmarriage.Laurencedidsobygivingherapotionthatputherinadeath-likecoma.Theplanworked,buttoosoonforRomeotolearnofit;hegenuinelybelievedJuliettobedead,andsoresolvedtocommitsuicide.Romeo'sfinalwordswere"ThuswithakissIdie".Hekilledhimse
