8.WORKMETHODOLOGY

Whethertheliftingoperationsarerepetitiveoriftheyareaoneoff,asafesystemofworkmustbeestablishedandfollowedfortheoperationtobebothsafeandsuccessful.

Inordertoprovideasafesystemofworkthefollowingitemsaretobeincludedintheliftplan/Assessment

Erectionofbatchingplantwith04no.silosandAssembly,Make-SchwingStetter,Model-M-1T,Capacity-54Cum/Hr.

SELECTIONOFCRANE:

Theselectionofsuitablecraneandworkequipmentmustbecarriedout.

Acraneteamhastobedeployedatsiteforpreinspectionofsoilconditionandmakethemawareoftheirresponsibilitiesbeforethecommencementofthejob.

Allcertifications,reportsofthoroughexaminationandotherdocumentsincludingmanufacturersmanualaretoberetainedandavailable.

7.3CRANEOPERATIONS

Onlyauthorized&

experiencedOperatorshallbepermittedtooperatethecrane.

Assembling,maintenanceanddisassemblingontheequipmentshallbedoneasperthemanufacturer’smanualandThird-partycertifiedcraneshallonlybedeployedforthejob

Overloadingshallneverbeallowedatsite.Weightofloadbeingliftedandtheliftingradiusofallmajorcomponentsareprovidedinthemethodstatement.SamewillbeincorporatedinthedailyerectionpermitalsoandCraneshallbestationedonafirmlevelground.

Theoperatorshallensuretheareaisgoodenoughforthecranebeforemarchingorparkingit.

Properboomangleandradiusshallbefollowedtolifttheload.Refertheloadchartgiveninthecranemanualorfixedinsidethecranecabin.Cranesshallnotbeparkedneartheedgesofpitorexcavations.

Limitswitchofcranesshallbetestedfrequentlyforensuringitsproperfunctioning.

Theswingingareaofthecraneshallbecordoned.TheCranehelpershallensurenotrespassersenterinthisvicinityandatrainedsignalmanshallgivethesignalforcraneoperation.

Theoperatorshallhaveaclearviewoftheoperationthroughoutthehoistingperiod.

Thebanksmanshallbealwaysatthevisibilityofthecraneoperator.Iftheoperationissuchthatthebanksmanmuststandatanobscurelocationthenmorebanksmanshallbepostedtohaveaneffectivecommunication.Acompetentrigginggangshalldomaterialhandling

Clearpassagesshallbeleftforeasyhandlingandtransportationstructures.
