GearedtractionmachineisclassifiedintoACandDCtypes.W191tractionmachineisACfrequency-variablemotor.Currently,besideswormgearedmachine,bevelandstargearedmachinesarealsoavailable.

Gearlesstractionmachine

Gearlesstractionmachineisusedinliftswithspeedofmorethan2.0m/s.Withtractionsheavefixedinmotorshaft,thistractionmachineissimpleinstructurewithoutanymechanicalgearedmachine.Speciallydesignedformanufacturedforlift,tractionmotorissuitableforliftoperationandclassifiedintospeed-variableDCandfrequency-variableACmotor.

Infigure2-2isshownanACfrequency-variablegearlesstractionmachine.

Thismachineneedsmuchmorebraketorquethangearedmachinewhenitismanufactured,therefore,itneedsaratherbiggerbrake.Gearlesstractionmachineismoreoftenthannotusedincompoundwindingdrive,therefore,forceappliedontractionsheave,compoundwindingsheaveandbearismuchlargerthanthatontractionmachine;

correspondingshaftisoflongerdiameter.

Withnogearedmachine,ithaslongerusagelife.

Permanent–magnetsynchronousgearlesstractionmachine

Wecan’thelpmentioningtheapplicationofpermanent–magnetsynchronousgearlesstractionmachineinlift.Withtherapiddevelopmentoftractiontechnologyinlift,moreandmoreliftswithoutmachineroomareadoptingpermanent–magnetsynchronousgearlesstrailingtechnology.Forliftswithoutmachineroom,thereisnoneedtoenlargewelldimensions,simplifyingandbeautifyingconstruction,savingcost,especiallytheapplicationvalueofsuchliftsisenhancedbylownoise,highefficiencyandpowereconomization,andwhatdistinguishesliftswithoutmachineroomfromothersliesinthepermanent–magnetsynchronousgearlesstractionmachine.

Infigure2-3isshownPMS425ALpermanent–magnetsynchronousgearlesstractionmachineusedinThyssen’sliftswithoutmachineroom.Thetractionmachineisflatinstructure,soonlyaverysmallspaceisneededbetweenwellwallsandcartocompleteinstallation.Withgearlessdesign,motortorquedirectlypassesontotractionsheave,combinedwithstaticfrictionofnon-decelerationpart,drivingefficiencycanexceed90%;

besides,duetolowrotationspeed,tractionmachinerunswithlownoiseandisfreefromvibration.Thetractionmachinehastwomechano-electronicbrakes,therefore,theotherbrakecanprovidesufficientjerkforcetostopcarwith100%ratedloadifonebrakefailstofunction.

Composedofsprings,brakeblockwithliner,brakearmandmagnet-iron,magneticbrakeismostfrequentlyusedintractionmachine,asshowninfigure2-4.Whenmagneticcoilispoweron,brakewillrelease;

whenmagneticcoilispoweroff,brakeblockwillproducetorque,relyingonspringspressedtightlyonbrakegear.

Brakefunction

Brakehastwofunctions:

Incaseofpowercut-off,brakecanmakeliftstopautomatically.Whenbrakeengages,decelerationofliftshouldnotexceedthatproducedbyoverspeedgovernororneededtostopcaronbuffer.

Ifliftisinnormaloperationwithspeedofmorethan1m/s,liftisusuallydeceleratedthroughelectricalcontrolbeforemechanicalbrakeengages.

Whenliftstopsmoving,brakeshouldguaranteethatliftremainsstationaryunder125%~150%ratedload.Brakedoesnotreleaseuntilliftstartsmoving.

Characteristicofbrake

Whenliftruns,i.e.motorispower-on,

brakewillrelease;

whenliftstops,i.e.

motorispower-off,brakewillengage.

Mountingposition

Forgearedlift,brakeismountedbetween

motorandgearedmachine(seefigure2-5),

i.e.onhigh-speedshaft.

Smallbraketorqueisneededbyhigh-speed

shaft,sothatbrakedimensionscanbe

reduced.

Gearlesstractionmachineadoptsadapter,i.e.isadaptordisketweenmotorandgearedmachine,asshowninfigure2-6.Brakegearisarrangedonwormgearsideinsteadofonmotorside,toensurethatliftcanalsostopincaseofrupturedadapter.

Castintoonewithtractionrope,brakegearofgearlesstractionmachineisdirectlymountedontractionmachineshaft.Asamainsafetypartofliftsystem,brakehasandirectimpactoncomfortablerideandaccurateleveling.Duringliftoperation,toachievecomfortablerideandaccurateleveling,suchfactorscanbeadjustedasbrakereleasetime,brakereleasetimeandbraketorquesize.

Toreducebrakeengage,releasetimeandnoise,itisrequiredthegapbetweentwomagnetsincoilsbeproperratherthantoowide.Thesmallerthegapbetweenbrakeblockandgearis,thebetter.Brakeblockshouldnottouchrotatinggearafterbrakereleases.

Tractionsheaveisshowninfigure2-7.

Gearedtractionsheaveislocatedonsideof

gearedmachine.Operatorsstandontheshaft

sideofmotor,facingmotor.Left-placedtractionmachineistheonewithsheaveontheleftofgearedmachine;

whileright-placedtractionmachineistheonewithsheaveontherightofgearedmachine,asshowninfigure2-8.

Tractionsheaveofgearlesstractionisdirectlyconnectedwithmotor.

Tractionmachinesuport

Solderedbycastironorsecionironwithsteelboard,tractionmachinesupportisaseatthatconnectsmotor,brakeandgearedmachine.Partsoftractrionmachinearemountedonthesupport,facilatingtransportaion,installationandadjustment.Whenliftisinstalled,thesupportwillbefastenedontwoparallelH-stellbeamswithdesignatedspecificationthatservetobearweight.
