  I'mverygladtobeheretopresentmyclasstoday.I'mnumberXcandidateapplyingfortheEnglishteacherofthehighschool.AndmytopictodayisModule1,BritishandAmericanEnglish.Togetabetterunderstandingofmyinstructionaldesigning,I'mgoingtodivideitinto6sections,thatis,theanalysisofteachingmaterials,analysisofstudents,teachingmethods,learningmethods,teachingproceduresandblackboarddesign.NowIamgoingtogothroughthemonebyone.

  Thefirstandforemostistheanalysisoftheteachingmaterials.Today'slessonistheReadingandSpeakingofModule1,NewStandardEnglish,Book5,publishedbyForeignLanguageTeachingandResearchPress.ItsmainthemeisaboutBritishandAmericanEnglish,whichisquiteimportantforEnglishlearning.Studentswillmeetallkindsofaccentsintherealxxmunicationactivities.So,itisnecessaryforthemtohaveabasicunderstandingofdifferencesbetweenBritishandAmericanEnglish.Atthesametime,studentscanalsolearnalittlebitmoreaboutWesternhistoryandculture.

  BasedontheNewCurriculumStandards,today's

  teachingobjectivesareasfollows:

  Theobjectivesofknowledgeandskill:

enablestudentstomasterthenewwordsandphrases;understandthegeneralideaofthepassage;realizethedifferencesofEnglishesintheworld.

  Theobjectivesofprocessandmethod:

askstudentstoskimthepassagequickly,andencouragestudentstoviewtheirideasaboutworldEnglishes.

  Theobjectivesofemotion,attitudeandvalue:

arousethestudents'interestinEnglish;makethemhaveanopenattitudetowardsdifferentEnglishes;encouragethemtobemoreactiveintheEnglishactivities.

  Giventheteachingmaterialsandthestudents'characteristics,Isupposetheteachingkeypointsarethenewwordsandphrasesinthepassage;thedifferencesbetweenBritishandAmericanEnglishinpronunciation,vocabularyandgrammar.Andtheteachingdifficultiesaretoidentifyanaccentintherealsituations.

  OK,let'sturntotheanalysisofstudents.StudentsofGrade2inhighschoolhavestudiedEnglishfor10years,andtheyhavegraspedacertainamountofEnglishknowledgeanddevelopedtheirownlearningmethods.Theycan

  cooperatewiththeirclassmatestofinishatask.Andmostimportantly,theyarewillingtolearnmoreaboutEnglishandtheoutsideworld.Allofthesearebeneficialtotoday'steaching.ButsomeofstudentsarenotinterestedinEnglishsomuch,soIwillraisesomeusefulquestionsandactivitiestoimprovetheirlearningmotivation.

  Takenintoaccountthestructureofthismodule,I'mgoingtoarrangemylessonbymainlyusingtheTask-basedMethod,designsomeactivitiesandsomequestionstoimprovess’learninginterests;andthelearningMethodswillbefocusedoncooperativeandresearchedmethods,sswillworkinpairsandingrouptodiscussthequestions,throughwhichtheirabilityofusingEnglishcanbeenhanced.Duringtheteachingprocess,multi-mediaxxputer,taperecorder,PPTwillbeneeded.

  OK,somuchfortheteachingandlearningmethods.Andthenextoneisthemostimportantpartoftoday,theteachingprocedures,whichwillbedemonstratedinthefollowingsteps:

  Step3.Practice

  TimelypracticeisofvitalimportanceforstudentstouseEnglishfreely.So,inthisstep,studentsareencouragedtodomorepractices.

  1.RaiseandAnswerquestions.Inordertopractice

  students’readingxxprehension,I’dlikestudentstoworkinpairandanswerquestionsaboutthepassage,suchas:
