二、趣味英语社的活动内容
1、英语话剧表演。
《出租车司机》:
一天出租车司机遇到了很多奇怪的事情。
烦人的女孩、孕妇、抢匪、不管事的警察、甚至还遇到了鬼….
《小红帽》有一天,妈妈告诉小红帽外婆生病了,要带一些点心去探望她。
小红帽跟妈妈挥手再见,就上路了。
她刚一走进森林,就遇到一支大野狼。
狼跟在小红帽的后面,先来到外婆家,装作是小红帽的声音把外婆骗过,并一口吞了她。
然后当小红帽来时敲门时,狼又扮作外婆的样子骗了小红帽,把她也给吞了,后来猎人来了……
2、改编教材
(1)改编高中英语教材选7第二单元《包君满意》为听力练习。
通过将前三段的内容设置成听力而不呈现原文,使学生先对文章内容进行预测,激发他们的学习兴趣。
(2)同时把该文改编为短剧。
原文是一篇记叙文,要求学生将整文以对话的形式体现。
文章主要内容:
机器人tony来到了家中,将在丈夫Lary外出期间照顾其妻claire。
由于tony长得像极了真人,claire有点排斥它。
但tony善解人意,逐渐使claire消除对它的戒心,并对其吐露心声。
后来这人和机器人竟然开始相爱了......
3、英文美文欣赏
摘选《疯狂英语》中有配套磁带的美文供学生欣赏。
学生可以模仿发音,学习演讲的格式。
4、绕口令和脑筋急转弯竞赛
准备大量的英语绕口令和脑筋急转弯题,将学生分成两大组进行竞赛。
这有别与课堂教学中的常规考试,而是让学生在趣味中学习英语,增强对英语学习的兴趣。

学生表演前,我的要求是:
大胆创新、要演不要背、抓住每组对话中主要人物的特点(理解主要人物的目的、说话的语气)。
读完五组对话后,学生便能在老师的指导下用形容词概括出五位主人公的特点:

表演时学生的大胆和创新超出我的想象,这是在课堂内从未看到过的。
在表演pregnantwoman体验分娩的那一段时,两位高二的女学生非常创新地将孕妇快要分娩时的呻吟用《忐忑》中的调表现出来:
哦——啊......哦——啊......哦——啊......同时扮演孕妇的那一位手持腰,挺着肚子还颇有一番孕妇的样子,搞笑之极。
其他学生包括我都捧腹大笑。
后来的几组学生在她们的影响下,表演时都很放得开,尝试表演,而不是我经常在课堂上看到的背诵形式。
