sglobalcompetitiveness.Overtheyears,myinitialchildhoodcuriosityhasgrownintoapassionforeconomics.

AsaPhysicsandMathsstudent,Iderivegreatsatisfactionfromsolvingproblemsthatinitiallyseemimpossible.RepresentingmyschoolattheUKMTSeniorMathsChallenge,aswellasthenationalfinalsoftheScienceandTechnologyChallenge,Ibuiltupakeenopen-mindednessfornewideas.Gametheory,anditsapplicationsineconomics,areofgreatinteresttomeandhavehelpedmebetterappreciatethesheerscopeofthediscipline.Ifinditparticularlyinterestinghowoligopolistsusegametheorytoanticipatecompetitors'

Involvingmyselffullywithmyschoolhasreallyhelpedtotransformmyeducationalexperience;

IwasrecentlyelectedHeadBoybystaffandstudents,followingacampaignthathelpeddevelopmyinterpersonalskills,nottomentionthecapacitytotakeoncriticism,asIworkedwithawiderangeofpeople.Workingsuccessfullywithotherscontinuestobeakeyfeatureofmyschoolcareer.Inparticular,helpingyoungerpupilsinmyfreetimeandbeingabletocontributetotheirdevelopmenthasbeenarewardingandinvaluableexperience.ThelatterisespeciallytruenowthatIworkasanassistanttutoratalearningcentre,whereIamdirectlyresponsibleforuptosixchildren.InmyroleasHeadBoy,Ihavedemonstratedmyabilitytolead;
