In1874,thepalacewasthebirthplaceoftheduke’smostfamousdescendant,WinstonChurchill,whowastobecometheUK’sPrimeMinister（somewouldsayBritain’s

greatest20th-centurypolitician）andNobelPrizewinnerforliterature.ItisalsoinBlenheimthatWinstongotmarriedtoClementineHozierin1908.
