1、当表示两个延续性动作同时进行，且强调主句表示的动作延续到从句所指的整个时间，通常用while。
2、如果从句是短暂性动作，主句是延续性动作，用When。

二．Language
过去进行时
1.过去进行时的结构
过去进行时的构成：
was/were+动词的现在分词；
否定式则在was/were后加一个not，疑问句则将was/were提前即可。
2过去进行时的意义和用法
1）过去进行时主要表示过去某个时刻正在进行的动作，常与表示过去的时间状语连用。
如：
（just）then，yesterdayafternoon，，atnine，lastnight，atthis/thattimeyesterday。
IwaswatchingTVathomeyesterdayafternoon.
2）过去进行时也可以表示过去某一时间段内正在进行的状态，常与thosedays，thewholemorning，fromninetotwelveatnight等时间状语连用。
3）.过去进行时与频度副词always等词连用，表示过去反复经常的动作，常常带有埋怨、讨厌、赞扬或喜爱等情绪。

7．returntoreturnto=goback
returnto中，return是动词，加to表示回到哪里（动作），如果return后面不加to，则只能用在here,there等词前。
backto中，back不是动词，加to只表示方向，前面必须有go,come等动词，
而单单一个back前面没有动词，后面没有to就更不能使句子正确了。

9.intotal
intotal与atotalof的区别
intotal和atotalof都有总共、总计的意思，但是atotalof是形容词性的词组，天是介词词组，通常作定语。
Intotal可以放句首也可放句末，
