世界大学生运动会，素有“小奥运会”之称，由“国际大学生体育联合会”（英语：

InternationalUniversitySportsFederation）主办，只限在校大学生和毕业不超过两年的大学生（年龄限制为17-28岁）参加的世界大型综合性运动会。

第26届世界大学生运动会将于2011年8月12日到8月22日在中国深圳举行.主场馆位于深圳市龙岗中心城西区，距离市中心约15公里区。

LocatedinShenzhenGrandCanalnortheastofShenzhencity,LonggangDistrict,westofthecity,about15kilometersfromthecitycenter,isheldin2011inShenzhen26thSummerUniversiadeinthemainstadiumarea,isalsobuildingupthecityofShenzhenimplementationofculturalstrategies,thedevelopmentofsportsindustry,topromotethefutureoffitnesscenter.

2、会徽（emblem）

EmblemofShenzhenSummerUniversiadeanditsmeaning

“HappyU”consistsofcoloreddotsofvaryingsize.Eachdotisdeemedalogoelement,themeaningofwhichisopentodifferentinterpretations.Thedotcanbeenlarged,reduced,concentratedorevolvedintomyriadsofthingsorpatterns,thereforecarryingarichvarietyofmeanings.IttriestoconveythemessagethattheUniversiadeisacarnivalgatheringforuniversitystudentsfromaroundtheworld.AsinnovationisthehallmarkofthecityofShenzhen,theExecutiveOfficeoftheOrganizingCommitteeforShenzhenSummerUniversiadeiscommittedtopresentingabrand-newemblemdistinguishingtheUniversiadefromotherinternationalsportsmeetings.Whilecommunicatingpowerfulmessagesaboutthecity,theUniversiade,theyouthandthelife,theemblemembracesdiversityandinnovationandisopentodifferentinterpretations.

Uisrichinmeanings.Itmaystandfor“university”,“you”,“union”,“universe”orotherwords,orbetakenasagraphicalmarkrepresentingbaysinthecity,DapengBayforexample,suggestingahappyreunionofcollegestudentsofdifferentracesandcolorsfromthefivecontinents.Thesemicircularmarkimpliessimultaneouslyopennessandinclusiveness.Umaybeunderstoodinsixdifferentways,includingahappyU（suggestingbeautifulcolors,liveliness,energy,andthethemeofhappyreunionoftheyouthfromdifferentpartsoftheworld）,anopenU（consistingofdotsinfivedifferentcolors,thesimpleyetpowerfulmarkisrichinmeanings）,aninclusiveU（thecoloreddotsevolveintosmilingfaces,balloons,garlandsanddropsofmoisture）;

ayouthfulU（evolvingintodifferentsports-relatedimages,tobeusedforthedifferentsportsoftheUniversiade）,acosmopolitanU（thevariedlycoloredandsizeddotsindicateagatheringofpeopleofdifferentracesandcolors）,andafuturisticU（aforward-lookingdesignprojectingtheShenzheneditionoftheUniversiadeinaninnovativeway）.

Unlikepreviouspictographicdesignsforemblems,theemblemforShenzhenSummerUniversiadefeaturesdotswhich,whenpartitioned,separatedorcombinedintodifferentforms,canstillfullyrepresentandidentifytheimagetobeconveyed.Itsopennesstoawiderangeofinterpretationsimpliesthehostcity’svitalityandinclusiveness.Thedesignishighlypraisedbytheexpertpanel.

“欢乐的U”

由大大小小的彩色圆点组成，每个圆点作为logo的其中一个元素，没有固定含义，可以有多种想像，完全是一个开放的标志。

大学（University）、你［U（You）］、联合（Union、United）、世界宇宙（Universe）。

U/也可以理解为深圳的海湾，比如大鹏湾，五大洲不同肤色的大学生聚集大鹏湾；

U/U的半环和杯形，象征既容纳双开放。

又可以成为六个段落的标题——欢乐的U、开放的U、包容的U、青春的U、世界的U、未来的U。

整个“欢乐的U”以红、绿、黄、蓝、黑为基色，五种色彩的圆点组合成一个U形，五彩圆点自由地排列在U的图形中，黑色的英文字“Universiade”代表着世界大学生运动会的英文名称。

“SHENZHEN2011”代表着举办城市深圳和举办时间2011年，五颗星是国际大体联的标志。

3、吉祥物

UU,mascotfortheShenzhenSummerUniversiade,isthebrainchildofadesignteamheadedbyWangYuefei,arenownedlocaldesigner.TheotherfouryoungmembersoftheteamincludegraphicdesignersGuoDongandXingYishun,animationdesignerWangGuanqunand3DanimationdesignerLiXinyi.UU,closekintotheUniversiadeemblem,isasmilingfacedevelopedfromtheHappyU.IntheshapeofU,theinitialletterof“Universiade”,itrepresentsagreatdeparturefromtraditionasimportantsportmeetingstendtousehumanfigures,animalsorplantsastheirmascots. 

“UU”isgivenavarietyofcutefacialexpressions:

joyous,sweetandsomewhatplayful.Thesetrendyandcheerfulimagesaredesignedtoembodythegreatvitalityandupliftingspirittypicaloftheyoungpeople,expresstheexpectationofthehostcityfortheupcomingShenzhenSummerUniversiade,andhighlighttheroleoftheGamesasastagewhereyoungathleteswithdifferentracial,ethnicandreligiousbackgroundscompeteandshowustheirbestform.

吉祥物“UU”是由深圳2011世界大运会会徽“欢乐的U”演变而成一张笑脸，同时，又具有“Universiade”的首写字母“U”的形态。

它打破了以往大运会吉祥物动物造型、写实风格的设计传统，展现出同会徽“欢乐的Ｕ”二者之间的血缘关系，使吉祥物——本届运动会会徽——国际大体联永久会徽呈现出一种基因传承，因而具有了共同的气质与外貌，形成一种血脉相连的家族关系。

它是年轻的、阳光的、时尚的、幻彩的、幽默的。

能够体现深圳“青春之城”、“设计之都”的风范，符合当今世界的设计潮流，具有一定的前瞻性。

4、口号（Theslogan）

OnJune26,2008,ShenzhenSummerUniversiadeofficiallyreleaseditsslogan“StartHere”.Thefinaldecisionismadebasedontwoproposals,onebyHeZhi’an（westarthere）andtheotherbyTanXiaohui（let’sstarthere）outofover16,000proposalsreceivedsinceOct.18,2007,withspecialcontributiongivenbyfamoustheaterdirectorLaiShengchuan.Expertsbelievethat“StartHere”canbeappliedextensivelyanddemonstratestheUniversiade’sfocusoninnovation.

主题口号从这里开始（Start　Here）具有较好的延展性，便于多场合扩展使用，延续了大运会不断追求创新的精神，表明了深圳作为中国先锋城市在全球化进程中的起点价值，表明了深圳作为“试验田”和“排头兵”在中国改革开放进程中的历史地位，同时也表明了第２６届世界大运会推进全球青年友谊的愿望。

中文口号“从这里开始”，英文口号“StartHere”，在意思上高度一致。

英文口号中，“Start”是“开始，起步，启动”的意思，Here是“这里”，“此时此地”的意思，有时间、空间两个概念。

5、核心图形（Thecoregraphics）

ThecoregraphicsofShenzhenSummerUniversiadearedesignedbytheteamofCentralAcademyofFineArtsledbyProfHangHai.AspartofthebasicvisualelementsoftheUniversiade,thecoregraphicsservetobondtogethertheemblem,theslogan,themascotandsportspictogramsoftheUniversiade,playinganimportantroleincreatingtheuniquelookandimageofShenzhenSummerUniversiadeandinupholdingtheidealsoftheUniversiadeandthecityofShenzhen.Theycanbeappliedtoclothing,licensedproductsandurbanlandscape.FollowingtheUniversiadetraditionofinnovation,thehighlyinnovative,open-mindedandartisticdesignallowsthecoregraphicstofigureprominentlyintheIMLsystemofthe2011event,andtoreflectthepioneeringspiritofShenzhenSummerUniversiadeandofShenzhen,theexactmessagethattheslogan“StartHere”triestoconvey.

深圳2011年世界大学生运动会核心图形是大运会基础形象元素之一，是联接会徽、口号、吉祥物、体育图标等大运会形象元素的纽带，对于营造深圳2011世界大运会独特的形象与景观、展现世界大运会理念与深圳精神起到重要作用。

大运会核心图形的名称为“欢聚”，图形由四部分构成：

人，天空，大地，海洋。

10个小图相互透叠、融合，组成一个“U”的形状，象征着青春的活力，自然的神奇，以及人与自然的和谐共生。

人：

以笑脸为基本图形，象征着青春、喜悦、欢笑，全世界大学生在深圳欢聚；

海洋：

以海星、海胆为基本图形，象征孕育新生，包容一切的海量与气魄；

大地：

以亚热带深圳所特有的树叶、花朵、果实、甲虫、蝴蝶为基本图形，象征共生共荣，生生不息的生存与进化。

天空：

以云彩、珍稀而美丽的黑脸琵鹭为基本图形，象征祥云缭绕、展翅高飞的希望与明天。

整个核心图形诠释了“一切在这里孕育、生长、开花、结果”的绚丽生命，诠释了深圳2011世界大运会“从这里开始”的青春主题。

6、体育图标

深圳2011世界大运会体育图标是大运会各运动项目的图形标志，是大运会基础形象元素之一。

体育图标以图形语言跨越文字的障碍，易于识别，广泛应用于道路指示系统、出版物、广告宣传、环境布置、电视转播、奖章证书、纪念品等领域，是大运会信息传递的重要视觉元素和构成一届大运会形象景观的重要组成部分。

是大运会各运动项目的图形标志，是大运会基础形象元素之一。

体育图标以图形语言跨越文字的障碍，易于识别，广泛应用于体育场馆、道路指示系统、出版物、广告宣传、环境布置、电视转播、奖章证书、纪念品等领域。

是大运会信息传递的重要视觉元素和构成一届赛会形象景观的重要组成部分。

体育图标的设计风格应与大运会整体形象景观协调一致。

设计灵感来自大运会会徽的圆点。

以圆片切割、透叠的方式，构成体育图标基础人形结构，演绎了大运会24项单项体育动作，体现年轻一代所特有的时尚活力与审美趣味。

该系列体育图标风格独特，易于识别，透明的意象源于深圳海滨城市所特有的通透空气与景观，在透叠基础上保留工程细线，具有优雅活泼的艺术气质。

7、SongssolicitationfortheShenzhenSummerUniversiade

Since2008,theExecutiveOfficeoftheOCforShenzhenSummerUniversiadehascarriedouttwosongssolicitationcampaignsthemed“CheerfulSongsfortheUniversiade”,openedtoboththepublicandspecificgroups.Nearly1,000originalsongshavebeencollected,10excellentcampussingerschosenthroughappraisal,andawardsceremoniesheldforoutstandingworks.

DuringthefirstcampaignfromAugust2008toJanuary2009,10songsstoodoutamongtheworkssubmittedbythepublicandspecificgroups.Thesecondcampaign,organizedbytheCentralConservatoryofMusic,wasrunfromMarch2009toJanuary2010,duringwhichover100universitiesandcollegesfromhomeandabroad（especiallythosespecializedinmusicproductionandperformance）wereencouragedtocontributetotheUniversiadeAnthem,thevolunteers’themesongandthetorchrelaysong.Amongthe420workscollected,10werechosenthroughexperts’appraisal,including“StartHere”,“WingsofDreams”andotherhighlypopularsongs.

Thevolunteers’themesongchosenthroughthesecondcampaignis“IAmHere”producedbytwofamousmusiciansWangXiaofengandHanBao,andperformedbyLiYuchun,apopstarinChina.ItrankedfirstamongtheBAIDUTopSongsonly10daysafteritwasreleasedonthewebsiteofBAIDUMusic.TheUniversiadeAnthemandthetorchrelaysongsareyettobedeterminedandsubjecttofurtherworkonsongssolicitationandappraisal.
