IhaddiscoveredthatIcouldn’thaveitatall,whenIwastwelve.Ithoughtthecoolestjobintheentireuniversewastobeasurgeon.IspenthoursandhourswatchingthedramaGrey'

sAnatomyandcouldn’thelpfallinginlovewiththekindoflivethosedoctorleadonthescream.Iwasutterlymesmerizedbythescalpelandallthosefancymedicaltermsthatuse.

  However,IstoptodreamaboutbeingasurgeonwhenIdiscoverthatitwastheideaofbeingasurgeonthatappealstome,notwhatittrulywas.Asaresult,thedreamendedandIdiscoveredsomemoreaboutmyself.Thisyear,IturnedsixteenandIcouldproudlysayIdonotdreamtobe,butascertaintopursuebeingalawyerinthefuture.SincejuniorhighschoolIhadalwaysbeenawardedthemosteloquentdebaterineverysingledebaterparticipatedin.Icannotonlythinklogically,butalsodelivermythoughtpromptly.MyhugeinterestinphilosophyalsoactsmyreasoninwheneverItriedtoarguewithsomethingequivocal.Beingawareoftheobstaclesandthehardshipsonthewaybecomingagreatlawyerneverpanicsme,forthesimplereasonthatIhavethisfaithandpassioninwhatIamaspiringafter.Chestertonwasabsolutelycorrect;

themostcomplicatedpartofcomprehendingtheworldisthestudyofsomehowsmallerworld,ourselves.Isubsequentlyrealizedthatgrowingupisaprocessthatdiscoveryourselves.Wegottoknowwhatwetrulyareandbecomewhowedreamtobe.Asweshapeourselvesandasweshapeofourlives,wegraduallybecomemoreawareoflimitsandpotentials,andconsequentlylearntoadjustwhat’soutthere,andbythatladiesandgentlemenI’mproudtosaythatIhavediscoveredpartofmyself,suetodiscoveringtodayanddefinitelyalotmoreinthefuture.Iwouldalwayskeepthisembeddedinmyheart.

  Thingsdonotchange,wedo!

  Firstofall,Iwouldliketosaythatthisisaratherprevalentphenomenonthesedays,wecanseealotofstudentsaroundmearehavingthisyoungpuppyloveandIthinkit’sutterlynormalforthembecauseIcanunderstandwhytheydothis.Theytrytoseekrecognitionfromtheothersexinsteadofacademicsuccess.However,Imorallyagainstitbecauseit’ssuddenlydetrimentaltoourfuturedevelopmentanditwouldneverlastlong.Firstofall,aswecanunderstandthatwearestillratherimmaturepsychologicallyinthiscurrentstage.Andmostimportantthingforloveisthatwecannotactuallythoroughlyunderstandwhatloveis.AndformostimportantpartisthatIcanseestudentsaroundmehavingpuppyloveforsimplymessingaround,seekingpleasureinsteadofmakingcommitments.Andbecauseofthiskindofflippancyattitude,Ithinkalltheycoulddoistomessaroundandthatiswhypuppylovediesintheblinkofaneye.AndforexampleIcouldsay,MarywouldbedatingDavidonthefirstdayofNovember,howevertwodays

  latersheiskissingTomontheothersideofthecampus.Andthat’sverynormalthesedays.AndsecondlyIthinkisbecauseforpuppyloveisverydetrimentaltoourfuturedevelopmentbecausethisparticularstageofourtimewhatweshoulddoistoallocateourtimetostudyingandparticipatinginex-curriculumactivityinordertogotothewonderfulcollegeinthefuture.AndtimeisscarcebecauseofthatIthinkasShakespearoncesaidloveisblindandalotofyoungstudentsthoughtthey’velostthemselvesinthisprocedure.Andthatisveryverycostly.Andsoinconclusion,we’dlikeviewthisproblemfromtheviewofeconomics,whenwearemakingmorerationalchoices,weshouldconsiderthemarginalbenefitsandmarginalcostsforthisparticularproblemandinthecaseofpuppylove,Iseethemarginalcostsexceedsthemarginalbenefitalot.AndthatisreasonwhyIthinkthisissomethingweshouldnotbeapprobatedandforthecaseofthosepeoplewhoarethinkingthattruelovemightbelostthroughthisway.Iwouldtheythatthetruelovecanwait,becauseifnot,itwouldn’tbetrueloveatall,andwe’llhavenothingtolose.andthatisthereasonwhyIhavethiskindofopinion.

  IthinkthereasonwhyIchoosetobealawyerinthefutureIchoosetopursuethiscareerisdifferentfromchoosingtobecomeapianistandsurgeonisbecausethiswasonetimeIthinkthiskindofcareerthat’sbestfitsme.I’masortofdebaterinmyearlydaysandIhavethiskindoftechniqueinordertopursuethiscareer.AndthatisthepracticalreasonwhyIthinkthiscareerisbestfitsme.Andsecondly,becausepersonallyIhavewatchedamoviecalledthetimetokillitisaboutacasewhereablackgirlgotrapedandtheonlylawyerwhosteptofightforherisawhitelawyer,andthewholeprocessisverycomplicatedbutwhatIseefromthatstoryisthatI’mveryinterestedinhumanrightsandIwanttoargueforthesepeoplewhohadtheirrightstrampledandtheirfreedom,howtosay,stealaway.AndifIcanbethatlawyer,althoughsometimesImaygoagainstmywillandargueforamurderer,areaperoracriminal,IwillalwaysrememberthatIhavetakentheoath,thatIhavetodothisjobthisismyobligation.AndbecauseofthesereasonsIhavethispassionbecauseIlovethisjob,andIhavetechniquebecauseI’madebaterandaspeakerinpublicsituations.Andthisiswhythisisdifferentfromtheotherchoices.
