三、教材特点：

1、强调语言运用

教材吸收了交际教学思想，注重培养学生的语言应用能力，教材在整体结构、内容安排、活动设计和教学方法选用等方面都紧密联系学生生活，体现语言的交际功能，贯彻语言应用的基本原则，把知识和技能目标融会在完成任务的过程中，从而体现了教材的把话题-功能-结构-任务结合起来的总体目标。

2、注重能力培养

从学习者的角度来说，基础教育最重要的任务是学会学习。

开发自主学习的能力，发展学习策略，培养学习能力，是实施素质教育的重要组成部分。

3、突出兴趣发展

教材从内容、形式、方法、插图等方面都以最大限度的激发学生的学习动机和兴趣为宗旨。

选择话题联系小学生的生活和学习实际，考虑小学生的需求，语言材料真实地到，活泼有趣，让学生易学乐学。

学生情况分析

五年级是小学英语高段的总结综合性学习，学生有一定的基础，大部分学生对英语学习有兴趣，积极性，主动性较高，乐于学习。

但随着内容的逐步加深，会有一部分学生感到学习起来困难，容易受到影响，而对英语的学习失去自信；

学生刚刚接触新版教材，会有新鲜感。

同时，教材容量及难度较之以前也有所降低，因而这是个帮助学生培养兴趣、重拾自信的好机会。

教师要注意采取有效措施，在加大整体练习的基础上照顾到个体，针对不同学生的不同情况，进行耐心、细致的辅导、教育，学生的语言能力在原有基础上有所提高。

具体措施

1．提高课堂学习效率。

首先教师加强教研，认真研究好教材，把没一课时都精心备好；

然后每个老师在上课之前，仔细准备每一节课，在课上注意课堂的调控，采取合适的教学方法，提高上课效率。

2．课堂教学手段要多种多样，不断创新，充分利用电教设备，精心设计课堂操练板及课堂作业，使课堂气氛轻松而不乱，热烈而不紧张，使得学生学习英语的主动性能充分发挥，学习感情的开放型能够得以保持。

3．注意培养学生严肃认真，积极大胆的学习态度和踏踏实实，勤学苦练的学习习惯。

4．加强对个别学生的辅导，有的要鼓励，有的要施以动力，促进每一个学生的发展。

5．加大“听说读写”的力度，使瞬时记忆变为永久记忆。

一、教学内容、地位和作用
