Theconceptstressesthatamoderncitymusthaveefficientenvironmentalpromotion.Itmusthaveaproperproportionofgreenland,cleanwaterandfreshair.Toaddmoregreenerytoacity,Iwouldliketomakethefollowingproposals:

1.Weshouldpopularize“verticalgreenery”technique,thatis,toplantmoregreen-leavedplantslikeBostonivyindensely-locatedbuildings.Theroofspaceofbuildingsshouldbeusedfullytoplantflowers,fruitsandgrasses.

2.Certainroomshouldbereservedforgreenbelts,greenpatchesinthebuildingofnewresidentialdistrictsandthereconstructionofurbanareas.

3.Measuresshouldbetakentostrengthenpeople’sawarenessofgreenery.Peopleshould,forexample,beencouragedtoplant“weddingtrees”and“birthdaytrees”.

Sinceancienttimes,teachinghasbeenanobleprofession.Andteachersareoftencomparedto“gardeners”and“candles”whichburnthemselvesbutlightthewayforothers.Thisindicatesthatpeoplehaveaspecialrespectfoeteachersandthejobofteaching.InsurveythehistoryofChineseeducation,wecanseeteachersarenotonlyholdingtheresponsibilityoftransmittingknowledgebutalsosettinggoodmodelsforstudentsinmorals,ethicsandpatriotism.Andbrilliantexamplesaremanythroughouthistory.

Today,itisencouragingthattherearealargenumberofeducationworkerswhoarewillingtodedicatethemselvestotheeducationalbusiness.Theyarestrictinteaching,haveawiderangeofknowledgeandworkwithtirelessenthusiasm.Theyworksilently,seekingnopersonalfame.Allthesedemonstratethenobleandpurepersonalityofteachers.

However,itisalsoregretthattodaysometeachersaredoingthingsnotinlinewiththeirnobleimage.They,forexample,askforhighfeesfromtheirstudentswithvariousexcuses.Someevenpeddleproductswhichhavenothingtodowithteachingtostudents.Thoughsuchteachersareverysmallinnumber,theharmtheycauseisserious.Theymightbringaboutbadeffectsonstudentsandruintheimageofteachersasawhole.

AsfarasIamconcerned,Iwishallteacherswouldtreasuretheirgloryandrespectbestowedbysocietyandregulatetheirbehavior.Leavevirtueandkindnesstoyourstudentsinsteadofgreedformoneybecauseonlythiscanbringhappinesstothem.Thisismyownexperience.
