二、词语辨析

1.when和While

Whilehismomwasmakingsuretheflashlightsandradiowereworking.

1）连词while的意思是“当……的时候；和……同时”，从句的动词多用延续性动词，

Whilehewasdohishomework,Marrycamein.

2）还可以表示“而；然而；但”之意，用来说明和强调两种事情或情形不同。

e.g.TomisactiveandoutgoingwhilehissisterRosaisshyandquiet.汤姆活跃外向，而他的妹妹罗莎却害羞腼腆。

时候，引导的从句的谓语动词既可延续性动词又可非延续性动词

either用于否定句常置于句末，其前加逗号

too用于肯定句常置于句末，其前加逗号；如果作为插入语置于句中，则其前后都加逗号

also用于肯定句置于连系动词be,助动词或情态动词之后，行为动词之前。

4.truth和reality

truth指人或事实而言；reality指某事物的确存在

5.fallasleep和beasleep

fallasleep强调入睡的动作；beasleep强调睡着的状态

Eg:

Thebabywassotiredthathefellasleepquickly.这个婴儿是如此累以至于他很快就入睡了。

Thebabyisasleep.婴儿睡着了。

过去进行时

1、用法：

表示过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在进行的动作。

2、结构：

was/were+动词-ing

3、句式：

肯定结构：

was/were+动词-ing

否定结构：

was/were+not+动词-ing

一般疑问句：

was/were+主语+动词-ing

肯定回答：

Yes,主语+was/were.

否定回答：

No,主语+was/weren’t.

4、常用于过去进行时的时间状语：

at5yesterday,when引导的时间状语从句，while引导的时间状语从句等。
