Thepurposeofthisteachingperiodistotrainthestudents’listeningability,speakingabilityandwritingability,aswellasreadingability.What’smore,studentscanalsolearnthepracticalabilitytoknowhowtopresentadialogue.Thissectionconsistsofaseriesofactivities,whichprovidestudentswithopportunitiestopracticetheirlanguageskillsoflistening,reading,speakingandwriting.Itismadeupofthreekindsofskillbuilding,includingunderstandingtonesinspokenEnglish,readingforthegistandwritingadialogue.Besides,thereisalsoaskillbuildingactivityineachstep.Throughthethreesteps,studentswilllearntosolveapracticalproblemintheirdailylife,thatis,howtopresentadialogueproperly.

Checkthehomeworkandreviewtheusageofrelativeadverbs.Theimportantteachingaimoflastteachingperiodistoknowhowtousearelativeadverbproperly.Letstudentsrecallthedefinitionofarelativeclause.TherelativeadverbsofEnglishare:

when,where,why.Teachersshouldoffersomepracticetostudentstogooverinwhatconditionwhen,whereandwhyareusedtointroduceattributiveclausesandwhen,whereandwhycanbereplacedbyapreposition+whichinformalEnglish.Afterthat,askstudentstofinishthefollowingexercises.
