Abstract:
Colorwordsandcultureareinseparablerelationship,anditasapartofalanguage,colorwordshavetherichculturalconnotation.ThedifferentculturesofChineseandwesternhasshownthelargerdifferenceinthelanguage.Theappearanceofcolorwordsistheneedoflanguageandculturaldevelopment,althoughthereisasimilaritybetweendifferentcultures,differentnationsforthesamecolormayconferdifferentsymbolicmeanings;
redisabasiccolor.Becauseofthegeneralcharacteristicsofhumanculture,thesymbolicmeaningsofredhavemanysimilaritiesinChineseandwesternculture.However,becausethedifferencesofhabitsandcustoms,lifestyles,historicalbackgroundsandreligiousbeliefs,TherearemoredifferencesbetweenChineseandWestern.Forexampletheredinthispaper,redisakindofobjectiveexistence、specialphysicalform.Peopleinbothemotionallyandvisuallyhavearespondontheredtoacertainextent.ThispaperexpoundsconnotationdifferenceofChineseandWesterncultureonthered,itexplainsthatmasteringredwords’deepermeaninginthetwolanguage,isawayofbetterunderstandingofChineseandWesternculturalconnotationssothatwecantakereasonable,effectivetranslationstrategies.

【摘要】
颜色词与文化有着不可分割的关系,而且它作为语言的一部分,有着丰富的文化涵义。
中西文化不同,表现在语言上有较大的差异。
颜色词的出现是语言和文化发展的需要,虽然不同文化之间有相似之处,不同民族对同一种颜色可能赋予不同的象征意义;
在中西方文化中红色是基本廉色。
因为人类文化的一般特性,红色的象征意义在中西方中有很多相似之处。
不过,因为风俗习惯,生活方式,历史背景和宗教信仰等的不同,两者之间有更多的不同之处。
本文以红色为例,红色是一种客观存在的、特殊的物质形态。
人们无论在情感上还是视觉上在一定程度上对红色做出反应。
本文阐述了中西文化中红色的内涵差异,说明掌握表示红色的词语在两种语中的深层含义,有利于更好的理解中西文化中的内涵差异,从而采取合理、有效的翻译策略。

Colorisconnectedwithhumanlife,ifcolordoesn’texist,human’slifewillbecometedious.Inordertodistinguishbetweenthevariouscolor,colorwordalsoappearsinsuccession.Colorwordsnotonlyhavethenaturalattribute,butalsocontainrichcultureconnotationsandsymbolicmeanings.Althoughthecolorwordsisonlyasmallpartofthelanguage,buttheuseofcolorwords,especiallythesymbolicmeaningsofcolorwordscangreatlyenhancetherhetoricaleffecttomakethelanguagevividly.Accordingtosomeresearchesshowthat,excepthumancolorblindness,thevisualsystemofobservingthecolorinphysiologyisnodifferent,therefore,withdifferentnationalculture,colorperceptionabilityintheoryshouldbenodistinction.SoinEnglishandChineseculture,thereshouldhavesomeconsensusincolorperceptionabilityandthesymbolicmeaningsofcolorwords,sometimesthosecanbepartialequivalence.Buteachlanguagehasitsownuniquelanguagesystemandconstruction,everynationhastheirownhabitsandcustoms,wayofthinking,languagepsychology,behaviornorms,valuesandculturaltraditions.For
