南岳衡山英语导游词@#@南岳衡山英语导游词@#@南岳衡山英语导游词1@#@AcrosstheNorthStreet,infrontofussuddenlyopenedup,amajesticandgrandancientarchitecturalcomplexshowedinfrontofus,thisisthelargestpalacestyleancientarchitecturalcomplexinsouthernChinaNanyuetemple.@#@SteppingintotheLingxinggate,thereisacourtyardwithtoweringpinesandcypressesandgreengrass.ThereareafirepoolandastelePavilionontheleftandright.Thefirepoolisusedtostorewatertopreventthebuildingfromcatchingfire.Itisalsousedbybelieverstoreleaselife,soitiscommonlyknownasthefirepool.OntheeastsideofthepavilionistheinscriptionofrebuildingNanyueTemplewrittenbyShangHu,theMinisterofstateoftheMingDynastyduringtheChenghuaperiod.OnthewestsideofthepavilionistheinscriptionofofferingsacrificestoHengyuewrittenbyfanChunrenoftheSongDynasty.@#@NotfaralongthemiddleroadisKuixingPavilion,thesecondbuildingonthecentralaxisofNanyuetemple.KuixingPavilion,alsoknownasPanlongPavilion,isapeakbuildingwithdoubleeaves,coveringanareaof139squaremeters.Inthepavilion,thereusedtobeastatueofKuixing,theheadofWenxing,toshowrespectforliterature.Manyparentswhowanttobesuccessfuloftencomeherewiththeirchildrentopray.@#@ThereareBellPavilionanddrumPaviliononbothsidesofKuixingPavilion.TheBellPavilionontheleftusedtoputa4500kgbell,andthedrumPavilionontherightusedtoputa2mdrum.Theancientsbelievedthataslongasthebellsanddrumsweresingingtogether,theDragonKingcouldbesubdued,sothathewouldnotdaretostiruptrouble,soastoensurethestabilityofthecountryandthepeople.@#@Thesecondcourtyardofthetempleisnotlongindepthbutwideincrosssection.Ontheeastsideofthecourtyardis“XuandeZungate”,whichconnectstheeightTaoisttemplesontheeastwingofthetemple;@#@onthewestsideis”sixtempleswithonegate”,whichconnectstheEightBuddhisttemplesontheWestWingofthetemple.Inthecenterofthecourtyardistheimperialstelepavilionwithoctagonaldoubleeavesandsharproof,whichisthefourthbuildingonthecentralaxisofthetemple.Theimperialstelepavilionwasbuiltin1707,the46thyearofthereignofEmperorKangxioftheQingDynasty,inwhichstandstheQingshistele“recordsofrebuildingNanyueTemple”writtenbyEmperorKangxi.Thesteleis6.6metershighandweighsabout2000kg.Ithas279characters,whichdescribestheprocessofrebuildingNanyuetempleunderEmperorKangxi’sdecree.Thetopofthemonumentiscarvedwithareliefoftwodragonsholdingthesun,andthebaseisa20tonbluestoneturtle.Thewidestpartofthetemple.@#@ThethirdcourtyardbehindJiayinggateisthemaincourtyardofNanyuetemple,whichiscomposedofRoyalLibrary,mainhall,bedroomandeast-westcorridor,withatotalof58buildings.Inthemiddleofthemainhall,thefrontistheimperiallibrary,andthebackisthebedroom.Thecorridorissurroundedbymorethan90ancientandfamoustrees.Thesixthbuildinginthecentralaxisofthetemple,theYushubuilding,isadoubleeavesXieshanpeak.Itissevenroomswide,30meterswide,20metersdeepand15metershigh.Itwasnamedafterthesevenplaquesgivenbyemperorsinthepast.Nowitisaculturalrelicsexhibitionroom.@#@Passingthroughtheimperiallibrary,themainhallinfrontofyou,whichissimilartotheTaiheHalloftheForbiddenCityinBeijing,isthecoreofthewholetemple,themainhalloftheseventhentrancebuildingonthecentralaxis.Themainhallisalsocalledtheemperor’shallbecauseitworshipsZhuRong,the“emperorTianzhaoofNanyue”.Theexistingbuilding,withanareaof1877squaremeters,wasrebuiltin1880.Themainhallstandsonthe2-meter-high16levelXumipedestal,withaheightof31.11meters.Itisthehighestbuildingofthewholetemple.ItishigherthanallthebuildingsinNanyueancienttown,highlightingitssupremeposition.Ithasdoubleeaves,nineridges,sevenroomswide,53.68meterswideand34.84metersdeep.Ithashighcornices,carvedbeamsandpaintedbuildings.@#@Infrontofthemainhall,thereisasquarecoveringanareaofmorethan1000squaremeters,whichisusedforGodperformanceandpilgrims’worship.Thetreasurehousesonbothsidesareplacesforpilgrimstoburnincenseandcandles.TheincenseofNanyuetempleisveryprosperous,wherethesmokecurlsalldaylongandthefragrancefillsthecourtyard.EspeciallyduringthetemplefairandtheSpringFestival,believersfromalloverthecountryandevenallovertheworldgatheredtogether.MonksandTaoistsalsocameheretopreachandpray.Atthattime,thousandsofpeoplegatheredandtherewasalotofexcitement!
