tonight,withathankfulheart,ihaveaskedforafinalopportunitytosharesomethoughtsonthejourneywehavetraveledtogetherandthefutureofournation.

fivedaysfromnow,theworldwillwitnessthevitalityofamericandemocracy.inatraditiondatingbacktoourfounding,thepresidencywillpasstoasuessorchosenbyyou,theamericanpeople.standingonthestepsofthecapitolwillbeamanwhosehistoryreflectstheenduringpromiseofourland.

thisisamomentofhopeandprideforourwholenation.andijoinallamericansinofferingbestwishestopresident-electobama,hiswife,michelle,andtheirtwobeautifulgirls.
