   ThereislocallegendthatstretchesbackhundredsofyearsthatsaysthisbeachatAshlcamBayreturnsforashorteverysevenyearsthendisappearsagain.Butthistimearoundittookabitlongerthanthat.Itwaslastseenin2005anditstayedforafewmonthsatthattimebeforeitwaswashedawayagain.

   Asyoucanimagine,everyoneontheislandofAchillisthrilledtohavetheirsandybeachback,andeventhoughnooneknowshowlongit'sgoingtobearoundfor,theyaremakingthemostofthetimethey'vegotbeforeitdisappearsagain.

   Somemaybequicktobelieveclimatechangescausethephenomenon,butthat'snotthereasonthesetwobeachesinAchillkeepdisappearing,DrKevinLynch,ageographeratNUTGalway,saysthattheseoccurrencesaretheresultofhydrodynamics(流体力学)andsediment(沉积物)supply,ratherthanclimatechanges.
