ThetwotablesmakeacomparisonamongfivedifferentregionsintermsofthefiguresoflanguagestudentsinAmericancollegesfrom2001to2003.Theyexhibitthatthefiguresvarywidelyfromregiontoregion.
Accordingtothefirsttable,intheprivatecollege,thefigureofAsianlanguagestudentswasofthehighestvalue,accountingfor1047.Bycontrast,thesmallestnumberofthosewhostudylanguageinUSAoccurredinAfrica,whichamountedto196.ThetablefurtherdemonstratesthatthenumberofSouthAmericanstudentsincreasedwiththehighestrate,whichwasfrom56intheyear2001to197in2003.However,theamountofstudentsfromMiddleEastrosethemostslowlywiththegrowthrateoflessthan100%.
