Thesespecificationsapplytoon-linecommunicationbetweentheautomatedbiochemicalanalyzer

TBA-120FR（hereinafterreferredtoasTBA）andtheexternaldataprocessingunit（hereinafterreferredtoasHOST）.

Thisdocumentincludesonlythedescriptionsrelatedtoon-linecommunication.

Forthespecificationsetc.fortheTBA,refertotheproductspecificationsandoperationmanualsfor

TBA-120FR.

Thebrokenlineinthefigurebelowshowstheboundaryoftheoperatingdomain.

Definitionofterms

Thetermsusedinthismanualaredefinedbelow.

（1）SampleIDmode,diskIDmode

SampleIDmodeindicatesthestatusinwhich"SampleID"isselectedfor"Querykey"ontheDatabasepageoftheSystemConfigurationscreenoftheTBA.DiskIDmodeindicatesthestatusinwhich"DiskID"isselectedfor"Querykey".

（2）AutoReturn

"AutoReturn"isasettingitemontheSystemConfigurationscreenoftheTBA.

Ifthisisnotselected,theTBAentersthePausestatusassoonasitreceivesarerunorder.Whenthepausestatusisreleased,theTBAsendsanorderinquiryandstartsmeasurement.If"AutoReturn"isselected,theTBAdoesnotenterthePausestatuswhenitreceivesarerunorder.Inthiscase,therefore,theTBAsendsanorderinquiryimmediatelyandstartsmeasurement.

（3）STATsample

STATsamplerepresentsasampleplacedatthededicatedSTAT（emergency）positionandforwhichanorderismadethroughtheSTATscreen.STATsamplemeasurementcanbeperformedatanytimebyinterruptingroutinemeasurement.

（4）Samplewithoutbarcodelabel

InsampleIDmode,itisassumedthatbarcodesareappliedtothesamples.However,evenifabarcodecannotbeappliedtoasample,measurementcanbeperformedbyselecting"NoBarcode"forthesampleontheOrderSamplepageoftheDatabasescreen.Suchsamplesarereferredtoas"sampleswithoutbarcodelabels".

（5）Internalmode,Internal/Externalmode,Externalmode

Internalmodeissetwhen"Database"isselectedfor"QuerySequence"ontheOnlineConfigurationscreenofTBA.When"DatabaseHOST"isselected,thesystemissettoInternal/Externalmode.When"HOST"isselected,thesystemissettoExternalmode.

（6）Sampleduringrun

Ifanyoftherecordsforasample（includingfirstrun,rerun,andreplicate）isintheRunstatus（thecoloroftherecordisbrown）,thesampleisreferredtoasa"sampleduringrun".Normally,arerunorderoradditionalassayordercannotbemadeforasampleduringrun.

（7）Measuredsample

Ifalltherecordsforasample（includingfirstrun,rerun,andreplicate）areintheValid（V）,Incomplete（I）,orComplete（A）status,thesampleisreferredasa"measuredsample".

Thetermmeasuredsampledoesnotincludesamplesforwhichsamplinghasbeencompletedbuttheresultsarenotavailableyet.

（8）Acknowledgement（ACK）message

TheACKmessageisaresponsethatindicatesthatamessagehasbeenreceived.Althoughitisaresponse,itisnotalwaysaresponsetoamessage.Thenegativeacknowledgement（NACK）messageindicatesthatthemessagehasnotbeenreceivedcorrectly.
