1.Introduction:
Itisknownthat,fastfoodhasappearedinourdailylifeforalongtime.Nowadays,therearesomanyfastfoodcanbefoundintheUK,forinstances,KFC,Mcdonald’s,andsoon.“TheUKisthecountrymostattachedtofastfood,closelyfollowedbytheUnitedStates,asurveyhassuggested”(bbc.co.uk,2008).AccordingtothesurveyoftheBBC,UKisoneofthecountrywhichmostattachedtofastfood,closelyfollowedbytheUniteStates.AccordingtotheresearchfromBBC.CO.UK(2008),alargenumberofpeopleintheUKhaveknownthatfastfoodisafactorwhichcanleadtotheraiselevelsofobesity.But,peoplecannotgiveupfastfoodforseveralreasons:
45%ofpeoplelikethetasteoffastfoodtoomuchtogiveitup.Inaddition,44%ofthesepersonswouldbeunabletogiveuptheirburgers,pizzasandchickenwings.
Fastfoodisakindoffoodthatisquick,convenientandnotexpensive.HoweverItisusuallymakewithcheaperelementssuchashighfatmeat,sugarandfats,whichareinsteadofnutritiousfoodssuchasleanmeats,freshfruitsandvegetables.Peoplethinkthefoodsincludehighinsalt,sugar,fatorcaloriesandlownutrientcontent(Harrison,2007).
Thisresearchaimsatwhetherfastfoodhasbenefitimpactordrawbackimpactoninternationalstudents’dailylife.Furthermore,itfocusesonaneffectivewayoffastfood.Inthisstudy,questionnairewillbeusedtocollectthedataforthisresearchbecausequestionnaireisconveniencetogetinformationordata.

2.Literaturereview:
Fastfoodhasbecomeaveryimportantroleinstudents’dailylife.Thispaperwillbedividedintofourparts.Firstly,thepositiveeffectoffastfoodonuniversitystudentsaswellashowitconveniencefortheseuniversitystudentswillbeconsidered.Secondly,thenegativeeffectsoffastfoodonhigh-educationstudentswillbecriticized.Thirdly,Effectsoffastfoodonstudents'Stateofmind.ThelastpartofthisliteraturereviewwillanalyzethemainaimofmyresearchwhichisrecommendedaneffectivewaytohelptheseuniversitystudentsofNTICavoidtheseproblems.
2.1Positiveeffectoffastfood
Fastfoodasafamousfoodforafewdecadesbecauseitistimesaving,convenient,inexpensiveandeasytobuythemanywherethatsellsfoodandsnacks(Buzzle,2011).Thestudentswhooftenbuyfastfoodshouldknowthatbuyfastfoodjustneedthreetofiveminutes.Whatismore,itisconvenienttoeatinortakeaway,anditisgoodforstudentswhohastoomuchlesionsortoobusytocooking.Lastly,fastfoodisnotexpensive.Itissopopularbecauseforunder$5.00youcangetafillingmeal.(CYWHStaff,2009)
2.2Negativeeffectoffastfood
Itisundeniablethattherearesomepositiveeffectoffastfood.However,italsohassomedrawbacks.Throughtheliteraturereview,thedisadvantageoffastfoodwillbediscussed.Somescientistsarguedthatfastfoodsuchashamburgersandfriedchickenasheroinmakepeopleaddictive(Hoebe,2008).Thakore(2007)arguedthatjunkfoodswereconvenienceandtasty,butthereweresomepotentialriskofeatingthem.Firstandtheforemost,itisdifficulttodigestthiskindofjunkfood.Alsotheyareveryspicywhichmeanstheyhadbadinfluenceofpeople’sdigestivesystem.Junkfoodasabreakfastshouldbetheworstthing.
Mcmacken(2010)alsostatedthatjunkfooddoesnothavebenefitforstudents’health.Onthecontrary,theycanbeharmfultostudents’body.Therearenotmanynutritiousinjunkfood.Mostofthemcouldcausealargenumberofproblems.Forexample,sugarysnacksorsugarydrinkscoulddestroystudents’teeth;foodlikehamburgersandchipscontainhighfatandcaloriewhichmakestudentsgetfataswellasdamagetheirIQ.
Inaddition,Lee(2011)demonstratedthatjunkfoodsdonotincludeinanyadvantageoustopeople’sbody.Firstly,thesefoodarefilledwithbadcarbohydrates,fatsanddonotofferanyhelpfulenergy.Inoneword,junkfoodisnotonlycannotprovidebasicnutrientsbutalsocausingweaknessinpeople’sbody.Secondly,junkfoodwouldmakepeoplepoorconcentrationbecauseitcontainsamountofoilandfat.Thelastandthemostimportantthingisthatitcouldleadtoheartdiseaseswhichincludemyocardialinfarction,cardiacarrestandatherosclerosis.
However,Wilk(2006)claimedthatthoughjunkfoodhassomanydisadvantagesbutitalsomakepeople’slifeconvenienceandsavetime.Nowadays,moreandmorepeopleinordertoworkanddonothaveenoughtimetocookathomeoreatingatrestaurants.Junkfoodmaybeagoodchoiceforpeople.
