In1967,WilliamPowell’sdaughter,Renee,becameaprofessionalgolferontheLadiesProfessionalGolfAssociation(LPGA)tour.Now,sheservesasHeadProfessionalatherfather’sgolfcourse.In2001,theClearviewGolfCoursewasoneofthe15golfcourseslistedontheNationalRegisterofHistoricPlaces.It’stheonlycourseowned,built,designedandrunbyAfricanAmericans.TheClearviewGolfCoursenotonlyservesasachallengetoexperiencedgolfers,butalsoprovidesanenjoyableroundforthoseplayerswhoarenewtothegame.
