二、如何听的建议
讲究方法,提高短时记忆能力
人的记忆方式分为短时记忆和长时记忆两种。
短时记忆对英语听力测试尤为重要,因为只有记住刚听完的内容,才有可能对所听内容进行加工处理,最后确定答案。
然而,人的短时记忆的时间和容量是有限的,要提高短时记忆力,需要进行记忆力的训练,掌握一些记忆方法。
在平时的听力练习中,我们可尝试以下几种方法:
1.重点记忆法:
认真、快速地读题,从而确定记忆的重点,增强有意识的记忆。
2.复述记忆法:
在平时的听力训练中,听完一篇对话或独白后,立即用自己的语言复述其中的主要内容。
开始时不要因回忆不出很多的内容而泄气。
能记住主要内容,就算成功。
经过多次这样的训练,短时记忆的能力会有明显的提高。
3.情景记忆法:
如果孤立地去记所听到的人名、地名、数字等,是难以记住的。
但如果把他们放到特定的场合中去,与情景联系起来,弄清文章中的时间(when)、地点(where)、人物(who)和情节(why,what,how)四大要素,往往就比较容易了。
此外还有用简单符号和简图记录所听内容的方法。

一、语言点讲解

about与on都可表示“关于”的意思。
(1)about侧重叙事,on侧重论述;about多用于个人事迹、故事内容、一般的书籍、文章等较浅显的问题,on多用于比较重大的,涉及比较深广的诸如国际形势、政治、理论、学术、报告、专著等方面的问题。
eg:
abookontheradio关于无线电方面的专著
storiesaboutLeiFeng关于雷锋的故事
注:
abookontheradio中,若on改用about时,指一本关于无线电的科普故事书;story后只能用about,不能用on。
(2)about常与learn,teach,read,tell,know等动词连用。
eg:
Whatdoyouknowaboutit?
对此你知道些什么?
Hetalkedalotabouthisfamily.他说了许多关于家庭的事。
2.WhatI’dreallyliketofindoutiswhetherpeoplewouldsometimeswanttogoonaholiday,aswedo.我真正想弄清楚的是人们有时是否想去度假,就像我们一样。
(1)WhatI’dreallyliketofindout在句中做主语,whetherpeoplewouldsometimeswanttogoonaholiday在句中做表语。
(2)as引导非限制性定语从句,代表整个主句,在从句中做宾语。
eg:
Hemarriedher,aswasnatural.他跟她结婚了,这是很自然的事。
注:
which与as都可引导非限制性定语从句,代表整个主句,但有区别:
①as引导的从句可以放在主句之前,主句之后,甚至还可以分割主句;which引导的非限制性定语从句只能放在主句之后。
另外,as常有“正如,正像”的含义。
eg:
John,asyouknow,isawriter.正如你所知,约翰是个作家。
HewasveryrudetotheCustomsofficer,whichofcoursemadethingsevenworse.
他对海关官员非常无礼,这当然使事情更糟糕了。

②as作为关系代词还可用于thesame…as和such…as中。
