一、教材分析：
本单元的教学主题是Mynewroom,与学生的实际生活紧密相连，因此，语言的交际活动是本单元教学实际的主流。
通过让学生参与房间的设计，进行语言实践，从而掌握所学内容，并运用所学内容，用语言的描述，来拓展语言的抽象思维。
本单元重点学习房间物品名称，表示位置的介词和Therebe的句型，让学生能正确使用Therebe的句型，并进行语言交际活动。
本节课是第五单元的第三课时，本节课内容贴近学生的实际生活；根据这一特点，设计一系列的任务活动激发学生的学习兴趣，让学生在学习英语的同时，用英语解决实际生活中的问题。
二、学情分析：
五年级的学生具有贪玩、好动、好奇心强，爱表现自己的特点。
他们已经学过了两年的英语，已经具备了一定的基本知识和技能，对基本的课堂用语，教师的指令已经基本掌握，在图片或多媒体课件的帮助下能听懂、读准英语单词和句子，在教师的指导下能做一系列任务活动。
三、教学内容：
PEP5Unit5MyNewRoomPartAReadandwrite.本节课为这一单元的第三课时，主要是让学生四会掌握Therearetwobedrooms,akitchen,abathroomandalivingroom.和Thereisamirror,abedandabigcloset.这两个重点句型，并培养学生灵活运用交际用语的能力。
四、教学目标：
1．能够听，说，读，写句子Therearetwobedrooms,akitchen,abathroom,andalivingroom.Thereisamirror,abedandabigcloset.
2．能够使用Therebe句型来描述房间的物品名称，特征，数量。
3、培养学生的观察能力和灵活运用交际用语的能力。
五、教学重点：
使学生熟练掌握Therebe句型的简单表达法，掌握四会句子的正确书写。
六、教学难点：
在于帮助学生区分使用Thereis和Thereare的表达法，即正确使用Therebe句式的单、复数形式及其结合特征等长句的表达法。
