Whatarecompetencies?

Competenciesareamixtureofknowledge,skillsandattitudewhichprovideacleardescriptioninsimplelanguageofwhatapersonneedstobeabletodotocarryouthisorherjobeffectively.

Theycanhelpto:

Thesearebehavioursandvalueswhichweexpecteverybodytodisplay.Theyarevitaltomaintainandbuildourbusiness;theyareimportantinestablishinghowweworktogether,howwetreatandrespecteachother.Fivecorecompetencieshavebeenidentified:

Byestablishingtheseindicatorsemployeesandmanagerswillhaveacommonunderstandingofwhatisexpected.Thiswillnotonlyhelpustoimprovethewaywedobusinessbutwillalsoensuregreaterfairnessandconsistencyforassessingindividualperformance.
