Toreducethechanceofaccident,pleasereadthesafetyprecautionsverycarefullybeforeoperation.The"Caution,Notice,Warning,Danger"inthisbookdonotrepresentallthesafetypointstobeobserved,andareonlysupplementtovarioussafetypoints.Therefore,theinstallationandoperationpersonnelmustbestrictlytrainedandmasterthecorrectoperationsandallthesafetypointsbeforeactualoperation.

WhenoperatingEmersonproducts,thesafetyrulesintheindustry,thegeneralsafetypointsandspecialsafetyinstructionsspecifiedinthisbookmustbestrictlyobserved.

ElectricalSafety

I.Hazardousvoltage

Danger

Somecomponentsofthepowersystemcarryhazardousvoltageinoperation.Directcontactorindirectcontactthroughmoistobjectswiththesecomponentswillresultinfatalinjury.

Safetyrulesintheindustrymustbeobservedwheninstallingthepowersystem.TheinstallationpersonnelmustbelicensedtooperatehighvoltageandACpower.

Inoperation,theinstallationpersonnelarenotallowedtowearconductiveobjectssuchaswatches,bracelets,bangles,rings,etc.

Whenwaterormoistureisfoundonthecabinet,turnoffthepowerimmediately.Inmoistenvironment,precautionsmustbetakentokeepmoistureoutofthepowersystem.

"Prohibit"warninglabelmustbeattachedtotheswitchesandbuttonsthatarenotpermittedtooperateduringinstallation.

Danger

Highvoltageoperationmaycausefireandelectricshock.TheconnectionandwiringofACcablesmustbeincompliancewiththelocalrulesandregulations.OnlythosewhoarelicensedtooperatehighvoltageandACpowercanperformhighvoltageoperations.

II.Tools

Warning

InhighvoltageandACoperation,specialtoolsmustbeused.Nocommonorself-carriedtoolsshouldbeused.

III.Thunderstorm

Danger

Neveroperateonhighvoltage,AC,irontowerormastinthethunderstorm.

Inthunderstorms,astrongelectromagneticfieldwillbegeneratedintheair.Thereforetheequipmentshouldbewellearthedintimetoavoiddamagebylightningstrikes.

 

IV.ESD

Notice

ThestaticelectricitygeneratedbythehumanbodywilldamagethestaticsensitiveelementsonPCBs,suchaslarge-scaleICs,etc.Beforetouchinganyplug-inboard,PCBorICchip,ESDwriststrapmustbeworntopreventbodystaticfromdamagingthesensitivecomponents.TheotherendoftheESDwriststrapmustbewellearthed.

V.Shortcircuit

Danger

Duringoperation,nevershortthepositiveandnegativepolesoftheDCdistributionunitofthesystemorthenon-groundingpoleandtheearth.ThepowersystemisaconstantvoltageDCpowerequipment,shortcircuitwillresultinequipmentburningandendangerhumansafety.

CheckcarefullythepolarityofthecableandconnectionterminalwhenperformingDCliveoperations.

AstheoperationspaceintheDCdistributionunitisverytight,pleasecarefullyselecttheoperationspace.

Neverwearawatch,bracelet,bangle,ring,orotherconductiveobjectsduringoperation.

Insulatedtoolsmustbeused.

Inliveoperation,keepthearmmuscletense,sothatwhentoolconnectionisloosened,thefreemovementofthehumanbodyandtoolisreducedtoaminimum.

LLVDAndBLVD

Thepowersupplysystemhasbatterylowvoltagedisconnection(BLVD)function.IfthesystemisconfiguredwithLLVDcontactor,thesystemhasLLVDandBLVDfunctions.

LLVDmeanswhenthemainsfailandbatteriessupplypower,themonitoringmodulecutsthenon-priorityloadoffwhenthebatteryvoltagedropsdowntobelow44.0V.Inthisway,thebatteryremainingcapacitycansustainthepriorityloadlonger.TheLLVDvoltageissettable.Referto4.7.2BatterySelectionforsettingmethod.

BLVDmeanswhenthemainsfailandbatteriessupplypower,themonitoringmodulecutstheloadoffwhenthebatteryvoltagedropsdowntobelow43.2Vtopreventover-discharge.TheBLVDvoltageissettable.Referto4.7.2BatterySelectionforsettingmethod.

ThefactorysettingisenablingLLVDandBLVD,whichmeansthatifpoweroutagelastsforalongtimeorthepowersupplysystemfails,theremightbeLLVDandBLVD.Usersshouldclassifytheloadsandconnectthenon-priorityloadstoLLVDroutes,andconnectthepriorityloadstoBLVDroutes.Forvitalloads,userscandisableBLVDoftheseloadstoinsurereliabilityofthepowersupply.

ThemethodofdisablingBLVDis:

1.Hardwaredisabling:

unplugthesignalcableinJ19portofW74C5X1signaltransferboard.TagtheBLVD-disabledlabel.ThepositionofW74C5X1andtheportdescriptionaregivenin2.4.2ConnectingSignalCables.

2.Softwaredisabling:

set“BLVDEnable”itemofthemonitoringmoduleto“N”.Referto4.7.2BatterySelectionforsettingmethod.

Notice

TheadvantageofenablingBLVDisprotectingthebatteriesfromover-dischargewhenthebatteryvoltageislow.ThedisadvantageofenablingBLVDisthatwhenthebatteryvoltagedropsdowntoacertainvalue,alltheloads(includingnon-priorityloadsandpriorityloads)willbecutoffduetobatterydisconnection.

TheadvantageofsoftwaredisablingBLVDisprolongingthepowersupplyofpriorityloads.Thedisadvantageisthatsoftwaredisablingcannotpreventunwantedpowerfailureduetomisoperationorpowersupplysystemfailure.

TheadvantageofhardwaredisablingBLVDispreventingunwantedpowerfailureduetomisoperationorpowersupplysystemfailure,andensuringthecontinuityofvitalloads’powersupply.

Battery

Danger

Beforeanyoperationonbattery,readcarefullythesafetyprecautionsforbatterytransportationandthecorrectbatteryconnectionmethod.

Non-standardoperationonthebatterywillcausedanger.Inoperation,precautionsshouldbetakentopreventbatteryshortcircuitandoverflowofelectrolyte.TheoverflowofelectrolytewillerodethemetalobjectsandPCBs,thuscausingequipmentdamageandshortcircuitofPCBs.

Beforeanyoperationonbattery,payattentiontothefollowingpoints:

Removethewatch,bracelet,bangle,ring,andothermetalobjectsonthewrist.

Usespecialinsulatedtools.

Useeyeprotectiondevice,andtakepreventivemeasures.

Wearrubberglovesandaprontoguardagainstelectrolyteoverflow.

Inbatterytransportation,theelectrodeofthebatteryshouldalwaysbekeptfacingupward.Neverputthebatteryupsidedownorslanted.
