1.分组讨论用should,oughtto,hadbetter,haveto和must来提意见时语气上有何区别;完成:
workouttherule。
2.班内分组展示各组的结果。
3.教师补充解释。
教师提注意点:
1).用should、oughtto、hadbetter、haveto、must提出建议。
※当我们要用“和善”的方法提出建议时,用should,oughtto和hadbetter。
●should/oughtto表示“应该”,后跟动词原形。
should比oughtto语气要轻一些,should谈的是自己的主观看法,而oughtto则更多地反映客观情况。
●should的否定形式是shouldnot(shouldn’t);oughtto的否定形式是oughtnotto(oughtn’tto)
●hadbetter表示“最好”,后跟动词原形,否定式是hadbetternotdosth.
※当我们想用“更强硬”的态度提出建议时,用haveto和must.
eg:
(1)Youhavetostopsmoking.
(2)Theymustfinishtheirworkfirst.
●haveto/must表示“必须”,后跟动词原形;haveto常表示客观要求,must则表示主观愿望。
eg:
(1)Ihavetofinishmyworkontime.(外界要求我完成)
(2)Imustfinishmyworkontime.(自己想完成)
●haveto的否定式是don’thaveto,表示“不必要”e.g.Idon’thavetogotoschooltomorrow.;must的否定式是mustnot(mustn’t)表示“一定不能”、“不允许”。
eg:
(1)Shedoesn’thavetodoallthehomework.
(2)Youmustn’tputyourbikehere.
●‘haveto’and‘must’arestrongerthan‘should’‘oughtto’and‘hadbetter’.
2).用whynot,whydon’tyou 和perhaps来提建议。
※whynot/whydon’tyou后跟动词原形,也是提出建议的两种方式,表示“为什么不……”,两者可以互换。
eg:
(1)Whynotgooutforawalk?
(2)Whydon’tyougooutforawalk?
(3)WhynotwearaT-shirt?
=Whydon’tyouwearaT-shirt?
※perhaps是提出建议的另一种方式,表示“或许,可能,也许”。
eg:
(1)Perhapsyoushouldreadthefilmreview.
(2)Perhapstheweatherwillchangethisevening.
以上注意点不一定由教师一一解释,可以请学生分组讨论,教师补充的方式。
也可以在预习作业中作适当的布置,这样学生讨论起来准备更充分一点。
