新闻的题材(styles)

1)政治性新闻

包括选举,组阁,政权更迭或重大政策变化。

示威骚乱,国际反恐,重大国际会议等。

在专四考试中出现的频率最高。

2)经济新闻

05年之后的专四考试中,经济新闻所占比重有所增加。

每年的考试中至少有一条经贸新闻。

3)其他社会新闻

虽然政治和经济方面的新闻占很大比重,灾难性报道也是专四考试中必不可少的内容。

焦点集中在灾难的性质,时间,人员伤亡和财产损失等方面。

解题技巧

新闻提供的基本要素是新闻本身的主体,而问题也往往是围绕这些基本要素的,这就要求大家在听的过程中抓住基本要素-what,when,where,howmany,howmuch,who.

新闻的题型(typesofquestions)

1)主旨题

在于考察学生对新闻的整体把握。

新闻报道的结构特点,即“倒金字塔式”结构。

最重要的信息通常出现在新闻的开始,叫做“新闻导语”,次要的紧随其后,最不重要的放在最后。

第一句导语是一则新闻报道的主体,所以导语是理解新闻的关键所在。

2)细节题

目的在与考察对细节内容的把握。

所有问题当中,细节题所占比重最大。

05年后,为增加题目难度,细节题多是对原文的paraphrase,而非照搬原文。

有些细节题是考察对文中某个词语或某句话的理解是否准确。

另外和数字相关的细节题几乎在每年的试题中出现。

正确回答此类题关键是

(1)熟练掌握各种数字的读法。

注意区分容易混淆的数字。

(2)听的过程中养成做笔记的习惯。

3)推断题

是以原文提供的事实为基础,对隐含信息进行合理推理和判断。

新闻解题技巧

1)通过阅读选项,带着问题,在听的过程中抓住与题目相关的信息。

2)适当做笔记,抓住新闻的第一句导语以及中心内容。

4)灵活运用“排除法”,排除与原文事实不相符合的错误选项。
