气球销售员弗雷德里克不甘被送入养老院的命运，决心搭乘“飞屋”去南美的“天堂瀑布”，完成妻子的遗愿。
不料飞屋升空后，却发现同行的还有一位不速之客---小探险家拉塞尔。
这个小胖墩喋喋不休的叫嚷让弗雷德里克真想把他从飞屋扔下去。
但此时爷俩却遇到了暴风雨。
