2、s from library. We were very lucky. The library had four books about this one precisely. Everyone had one book. The title of this book is The Three Musketeers. This book is a historical novel(Historical fiction is a specific genre, set in the past and pertaining to historical events or people, with

The work must walk a fine line between fact and fiction: presenting historical details accurately, the factual events must be prominent to the plot-and correct, historical characters must be present to indicate the historical time period,
4、 but taking artistic license to insert fictitious characters and events as a means of illuminating the chosen subject. The novel originated in the early 18th century after the Italian word novella, which was used for stories in the medieval period. The primary characteristic of historical fiction no
5、vels is a realistic historical setting. Like other fictional genres, historical fiction relies on an authentic sense of place. The setting of a historical novel is brought to life by detailed, factual portrayals of the settings geography, culture, society and customs. Another characteristic of histo
6、rical fiction novels is that of authentic characters. The primary characters in historical novels are usually imaginary, but supporting characters may be actual historic personages. While the primary characters may not play a central role in the narrative of the novel, they are usually more importan

Like many young heroes, dArtagnan is first and foremost on a quest to gain his own fortune. A
22、lthough he has been born into royalty, he still must prove himself worthy of the position of Musketeer. With aid from a friend of his fathershe becomes a guard, and because of his inquisitiveness and pride, he is able to prove his worth and become a Musketeer.An affair between the Queen and Buckingh
23、am also provides another quest, this time for the Musketeers to conceal the affair and arrange for the two to have secret rendezvous. However, there are quite a few discussions between more modern readers and those of traditions as to whether this is merely a trivial matter compared to the political
24、 issues of the time. One must remember, however, the code of honor that the Musketeers believe in, true love above all else.The Musketeers in the book believe in true love. As mentioned previously, the Musketeers aided the affair of the Queen and Buckingham because they the Musketeers feel there is

Another love story was amidst the affair, dArtagan in love with Madame Bonacieux finds himself faced with various dangerous situations when he tries to protect her from their enemies, eventually betrayed by her lies and deceit.The friendship featured inThe Three Musketeers

DArtagnan tactlessly insults three of the musketeers who challenge him to duels at hourly intervals the next day which he attends showing great courage. When they are warned by the Cardinals Guards of a law against dueling, the musketeers and DArt
27、agnan join together and easily defeat their provocateurs. From then on they become inseparable friends despite the three musketeers faults of melancholy, pride and religious hypocrisy respectively. They overcame all challenges caused by the rivalry between the king, Louis XIII, Cardinal Richelieu, t
28、he strongest man in the kingdom and the queen, Anne of Austria ,of cause and the war, such as taking back the diamonds for the queen from the Duck of Buckingham and saving Buckingham. The story ends withDArtagnanbecoming a lieutenant in the Musketeers.From the story we are shocked by the pure friend
29、ship and great honor between DArtagnan and the three musketeers. Though they knew each other for not a long time, they soon formed a good relationship which it is nearly impossible to find such a good and trustworthy friend in real world at their age in such a short period of time.
