2、th, smart, pretty, must, introduce, later, soft, nervous, hair, dark, fair, glasses, recognize, quite, dance, especially, proud, stupid, angry, stranger, excited, 5本模块中需要掌握的短语有:a bit, shake hands二、语音及拼读规则:音节如果你想记忆英语单词不成为难题;如果你想做到看词能读,听词能写,从现在开始掌握语音和拼读规则的规律,你会有意外的惊喜。音节是词的构成单位。就语音形式而言,一个音节通常由一个元音音素加上一

3、个或几个辅音音素构成;就书写形式而言,一个音节一般由一个元音字母或元音字母组合加上一个或几个辅音字母构成。单独一个元音或元音字母也可以构成一个音节。例如:I,you,a,等。在一个词中,有几个元音音素(不是元音字母),就有几个音节。上列例词都是只有一个元音音素的单音节词。有两个元音音素的叫双音节词,有三个或三个以上元音音素的叫多音节词。例如:双音节词:worker,teacher,our多音节词:family,afternoon,university在将一个词划分为音节时,应根据其语音形式,而不能单纯根据其书写形式。以teach和nice为例,从书写形式上来看,teach中有两个元音字母,但这

4、两个元音字母ea组合在一起发一个音。因此,teach只能算一个音节。nice中也有两个元音字母,但词尾的e不发音,因此也是单音节词。our虽只有三个字母,但读音是由两个音素组成的,故是双音节词。此外,有几个发音很响亮的辅音,如lmn,在后面没有元音的情况下也可以和它前面的辅音构成一个音节,故可称“成节辅音”。例如:table,Marxism,seven划分音节的一般规则遵循“一归后,两分手”的规律。即:(1)在两个发音的元音字母之间,若只有一个辅音字母(r除外),这个字母一般划归后面一个音节。例如:pa/per,la/ter(2)在两个发音的元音字母之间,若有两个辅音字母(r除外),则分别划归

5、前后两个音节。例如:sum/mer,win/ter(3)辅音字母组合th,ch,sh,ph等,以及辅音连缀pr,gr,tr,dr等,不能分开,一般划归后面的音节。例如:mo/ther,tea/cher,a/pril,a/gree(4)由两个或两个以上的词组成的合成词,一般按原词分音节。例如:work/shop,birth/day 三、重点知识归纳及讲解1impression n. 印象e.g.Whats your impression of our new teacher?你对我们新老师的印象怎么样?2smelln. & v. 15、长。(2)否定时 not a bit = not at all 毫不e.g.Hes not a bit tired.他一点也不累。注意:a little 和a bit 的用法最接近,它们都有一点儿之意,都可以用作副词,用来修饰形容词、副词以及动词,充当状语,这时两者可以互换使用;它们也可以用作形容词,修饰不可数名词,这时有一点区别:a little 可修饰名词,但a bit 后面必须加上介词of后才能再接名词。与not连用时,它们的意义完全不同:not a little 意为非常、很,相当于very; not a bit 意为一点也不,相当于not at all。e.g.This book i

19、。as well放在句尾,表示“也,同样”。e.g.Tell Lucy about it-and Simon as well.把这件事情告诉露西,还有西蒙。20And so much food!译文还有这么多的食物!so much和so many意思是一样的,只不过so much修饰不可数名词;so many修饰可数名词。e.g.There are so many girls on the playground.在操场上有那么多的女孩子。四、语法点拨:感官动词(Sense verbs)感官动词又称为知觉动词;是使用人的身体器官去做动作的动词。例如,用眼睛看、耳朵听、嘴巴吃甚至感觉等。英文中的感

20、官动词有:see, look, watch, hear, sound, taste, smell, feel.感官动词是系动词的一种。在英语的动词中,有的后面要接名词或代词作宾语,有的单独作谓语,而有的动词要接形容词或名词等作表语。我们把后面接表语的动词称为系动词。最常用、也是同学们最熟悉的系动词就是be动词;除be动词外,表感觉和知觉的动词也可以是系动词。请看下列图画: 我们再看出现在课本中的几个英语句子:That smells delicious! It tastes too strong.They taste really sweet. It feels very soft and co

21、mfortable.You both look very smart. And she looks very pretty in her photo.This milk smells sour. These shoes feel tight.Is it fish soup? It tastes salty. Have the children gone home? It sounds quiet.He looks strong. She sounds really nice. You look very smart.由此可见,感官动词是这个单元的重点之重点,需要注意的是,这类系动词与系动词be

22、不同,其否定形式和疑问形式的构成要加助动词才行。e.g.Does the party sound noisy?聚会(听起来)很吵吗?The dishes dont smell very nice to me.这些菜我闻着并不很香。Does he look worried?他看起来很焦虑吗?The cake doesnt taste delicious?蛋糕尝起来并不好吃。另外,感官动词用法有着许多相同点,但也有不同之处,请注意下列情况。1这些感官动词均可作连系动词,后面接形容词作表语,说明主语所处的状态。其意思分别为“看/听/闻/尝/摸起来”。除look之外,其它几个动词的主语往往是物,而不是

23、人。e.g.These flowers smell very sweet.这些花闻起来很香。The tomatoes feel very soft. 这些西红柿摸起来很软。2这些动词后面也可接介词like短语,like后面常用名词。e.g.Her idea sounds like fun. 她的主意听起来很有趣。3这些感官动词也可作实义动词,除look(当“看起来”讲时)只能作不及物动词外,其余几个既可作及物动词也可作不及物动词,其主语通常是人。e.g.She smelt the meat.她闻了闻那块肉。I felt in my pocket for cigarettes. 我用手在口袋里摸

24、香烟。4taste, smell作不及物动词时,可用于“taste / smell + of + 名词”结构,意为 “有味道 / 气味”。e.g.The air in the room smells of earth. 房间里的空气有股泥土味。5它们(sound除外)可以直接作名词,与have或take构成短语。e.g.May I have a taste of the mooncakes? 我可以尝一口这月饼吗?6其中look, sound, feel还能构成“look / sound / feel + as if +从句”结构,意为“看起来/听起来/ 感觉好像”。e.g.It looks
