、abilities 18Table 8-2: Test Equipment 18Section 1 Introduction1.1 PurposeThere are a number of systems that may be used to conduct testing to CTIAs Test Plan for Wireless Device Over-the-Air Performance (OTA Test Plan). With the addition of new testing requirements in version 3.2.1 of the OTA Test P
、lan (i.e., A-GPS for LTE, Left Hand, LTE TRP/TIS, etc.), system vendors, and individual system component vendors, will be required to be authorized by CTIA prior to being used by a CTIA Authorized Testing Laboratory (CATL). Systems already in use at a CATL will undergo audits to the deltas between O
、TA Test Plan version 3.1 and version 3.2.1 A team of CTIA-appointed Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will conduct off-site reviews and validate compliance to the new test requirements. Validated systems and components will be authorized by CTIA.The purpose of this Assessment and Validation Requirements
、 Document (AVRD) is to define the process in which:a) CTIA will evaluate and authorize test systems and components for use by CATLs for the OTA Test Plan.b) Laboratories may become authorized as CATLs for version 3.2.1 of the OTA Test Plan.It is realized that test labs utilize different configuratio
、n setups (i.e., chamber, positioners, RF and communication instrumentation, auxiliary equipment like antennas, RF path switching, application software, phantoms, etc.). The intent is to validate each configuration such that a lab with a validated setup can undergo an efficient CATL authorization pro
、cess for version 3.2.1 of the OTA Test Plan. Should a CATL decide to use or develop systems or components not currently validated and authorized, the lab audit will need to be expanded to include correspondingly detailed validation steps by the SME team, which will likely require an on-site visit.1.
、2 Applicable DocumentsThe following document is applicable to this AVRD:CTIA Test Plan for Wireless Device Over-the-Air Performance Revision 3.2.1, March, 2013 Section 2 System and Component Vendor Authorization2.1 Off-site AuditCTIA SME team will review the system vendors validation documentation p

Off-site documentation must contain the following: Measurement Uncertainty (MU) calculations (provide your ver

This will be the official MU for the off-site CATL document review. (MU calculations for the test solution providers baseline configurati

Note: It is not the intent
、to validate the LTE/TRP/TIS test solutions.CATLs approved for version 3.2.1 of the OTA Test Plan must use CTIA authorized systems and components. Should a CATL decide to use or develop systems or components not currently validated and authorized, the lab audit will be expanded to include the detaile

、ME team.3.2 A-GPS for LTE System Validation Data In addition to the OTA audit documentation per the checklist, the following A-GPS for LTE System Validation data shall be provided by the A-GPS for LTE OTA system provider as evidence of compliance to the referenced industry standards. The validation
、data shall be provided for both RRLP and LPP protocols. Run the OTA versions of the GPS Accuracy and GPS Sensitivity tests. The GPS Accuracy test should show as many measurements as would be done for the full pattern for LTE Band 4. For all other modes and bands below, the GPS Accuracy test should s

Provide readable SUPL 2.0 message logs containing RRLP payload or LPP payload associated with all GPS-related messaging. The RRLP and LPP payload mess
、ages should also be in readable format. The readable message logs can be obtained from any means necessary and can be derived from the network emulator logs or the UE logs. Provide the test reports/results that also indicate the setup parameters. All key results that are used to determine pass/fail
、for GPS sensitivity shall be recorded (e.g., horizontal location error, code phase errors, etc.). Interim results for sensitivity search would be helpful. The GPS sensitivity results when using conducted testing shall meet the test requirement defined in 3GPP TS 37.571-1 clause 7.1.1.6 for Sub-Test
、Number 1. See Table 3-1 for the breakdown of the tests that need to be run per technology. The UE positioning mode for LTE is applicable to the GPS sensitivity search only. The GPS Accuracy test would be done in UE-Assisted mode for all cases. Due to a limitation of the SGH-i747, the UE-Based sensit
、ivity search will not yield a valid result since the device does not reset its GPS information when the Reset UE Positioning Information message as defined in 3GPP TS 36.509 is sent. Therefore, the following information shall be provided by the test solution provider in lieu of the final sensitivity
、 search result.o Provide a technical report that shows evidence of the GPS reset being sent prior to each position request. In order to prove this, the UE-Based GPS sensitivity search test would be executed for a minimum of five (5) position requests. The report shall indicate the timestamps of the
、GPS reset messages in relation to each position request as demonstrated in the log files. In each instance of the GPS reset message, a Wireshark log of the Reset UE Positioning Information message in the DL Information Transfer message shall be provided to demonstrate compliance to 3GPP TS 36.509. Signal Level Uncertainty Validation report from a third party GCF and/or PTCRB lab that shows compliance to the following test cases:
