1、验货电器新手指南15General on-site testing method: 15.1Appearance check 15.1.1Purpose:To estimate whether inspected sample have appearance defect which can effect safety, sale etc.15.1.2Apply to:All product15.1.3Requirement-Visual check with a distance of 50cm without magnification under good lighting condit

2、ion.-Include packing and product inspection15.1.4Acceptance Criteria:-nonconformity of packing -CRITICAL reject: which will cause safety problem, especially live insect inside the package.MAJOR/MINOR reject: e.g. shipping mark missing, incorrect, torn / damage/ dirt, accessories missing, illegible i

3、nstruction, dead insect and so on.-nonconformity of product-CRITICAL reject: which will cause safety problem, e.g. exposed copper wire, power cord detach out, plug not security, air-logged drain hole and so onMAJOR/MINOR reject: which will not cause safety problem, e.g. poor fitting parts, poor appe

4、arance parts, unit unstable and so on15.2High voltage check: 15.2.1Purpose:This test is used to determine whether an appliance complies with the electric strength test required on safety standard.15.2.2Apply to:All electric products which rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appl

5、iances and 480 V for other appliances.15.2.3Procedure:a.Tester should be verified with safety and proper functioning before useb.Set up the tester at appropriate breakdown current limit (0.5mA) and appropriate voltage.cConnect live & neutral plug pin or lead wire to either polarity of tested product

6、 (live is recommended for operation safety), otherwise check should be conducted on each of them.d.All of the switch on the sample should be situated at ON and MAX where appropriate.e.Accessible parts (including the parts access only during service or cleaning)connect to the opposite polarity of tes

7、ter. Earth pin or earth lead wire will be tested when accessible part is earth connected.- For adaptor ( transformer), the high voltage should be applied between: Live parts of the input circuits and accessible conductive parts of the transformer.Input circuits and output circuitsf.Always keep hands

8、 away from the unit, and keep body away from mass metal. Such as table, shelf, chair, etc.g.Press button to test.h.Once the tester alarms failure, check with the same condition again.i.If the tester alarms failure again, check with the same voltage and duration but set leakage current at 10mA.j.No f

9、urther alarm on the test at 30mA or max setting of Hi-pot tester. Observe VOLTAGE DROPS on the voltmeter of the tester during the test.k.Observe by visual and audience to see whether SPARKLE through the air from the test surface to un-insulated is live or neutral.l.No voltage drop. Open the tested u

10、nit, to check whether it has BURNT mark on insulation.15.2.4Specification:aBS plug, 2500V/1S, particular on the gap between top and bottom cover.b For class 0, 0I, I appliances: 1500Vac/1 second. For class II and class II constructed appliances: 3300 Vac/1 second.cHi-Voltage check does not apply to

11、Class III and class III constructed product. 15.2.5Acceptance Criteria:It would be a CRITICAL reject for any of the below:aTester alarms at 30mA or max setting of Hi-pot tester of leakage current;bNoticeable voltage drop on the voltmeter of the test during checking;cSparkle through the air from the

12、test surface (or the metal part attached to the test surface) to un-insulated live or neutral.dBurnt mark on insulation.15.3Earth Continuity Check: 15.3.1Purpose:This test is used to ensure the accessible metal part and earth terminal are continuous under rated current.15.3.2Apply to:Class 0I and Cl

13、ass I appliance15.3.3Procedure:aTester should be verified before use;bConnect earth pin of attachment plug or earth lead wire to the neutral of the tester; cConnect the earth connected metal part (Intended to be earth connected) to the opposite polarity of the tester;dPress button to test;eObserve t

14、he reading and compare it with the specification.15.3.4Specification: aProduct complied with IEC/EN standard.Earth resistance tester should be used;Luminary products, at least a 10A for 1 second should be applied and the resistance should be less than or equal to 0.5ohm;Household products, a 25A for

15、 1 second should be applied and the resistance should be less than or equal to 0.1ohm. (consider the resistant of power cord, the limit of resistant can be 0.2ohm)b.Product complied with UL standard. When using earth resistance tester, 25A for 1 second is applied and the resistance should be equal t

16、o or less than 0.1ohm.Alternatively, the grounding continuity test apparatus may be an ohmmeter or similar indicating instrument capable of measuring 0.10 ohm.15.3.5Acceptance Criteria:It will be a CRITICAL reject for the sample having earth resistance greater than the limit or showed negative resul

17、t by the indicating device.15.4Polarity Check for Lamp Holder (US market):15.4.1Purpose:To ensure plug polarity is comply with lamp holder. 15.4.2Apply to:The product with polarity plug and lamp holder.15.4.3Procedure:aAn indicating device can be used instead of resistance tester. E.g. ohmmeter to c

18、heck the deflection, buzzer device to listen to the tone, lighting device to check the light.bTester should be verified before use;cConnect live pin of attachment plug or live lead wire to either polarity of the tester;dConnect the opposite polarity of the tester to the center contact spring.eRepeat

19、 procedure (c) & (d) on the neutral pin or lead wire for screw shell of the lamp holder.15.4.4Acceptance Criteria:It will be a CRITICAL reject for the sample having reversed polarity on lamp holder.15.5Polarity Check for Switch: 15.5.1Purpose:The Single-pole switches or single-pole protective device

20、s shall be connected to the phase conductor (the live side of the supply or the side other than that identified as the neutral side.).15.5.2Apply to:The product with on/off switch and their rated voltage being more than extra-low voltage.15.5.3Procedure:Luminaires intended for use on a polarized sup

21、ply and where the luminaire has a single-pole on/off switchaAn indicating device can be used instead of resistance tester. E.g. ohmmeter to check the deflection, buzzer device to listen to the tone, lighting device to check the light.bTester should be verified before use;cTurn the power switch to of

22、f position;dConnect live pin of attachment plug or live lead wire to either polarity of the tester;eConnect the opposite polarity of the tester to the contact plate of switch to see whether the live wire instead of neutral wire is connected to the switch.Other productaOpen product or switch to check

(the live maybe marked with black, red etc. indication color)15.5.4Acceptance Criteria:It would be a CRITICAL reject for the sample having wrong connection of neutral wire to power switch.15.6Power consumption /Input

24、 Current Check: 15.6.1Purpose:The power input at normal operating temperature shall not deviate from the rated power input by more than the specified deviation.15.6.2Apply to:The product with rated voltage more than extra-low voltage.15.6.3Procedure:aVerify that the voltage and frequency are the sam

25、e as rating;bPower/Amp meter should be verified before use;cTurn the sample at off before plug in;dTurn on the unit until steady and then record the value;eCompare the value against the specification.dFor product marked with one or more rated voltage ranges, the test is made at both the upper and lo

26、wer limits of the ranges, unless the marking or the rated power input is related to the mean value of the relevant voltage range, in that case the test is made at a voltage equal to the mean value of that range.15.6.4Specification:aBulb: Lumen: only lowest limited. 30、al Check for Workmanship: 15.7.1Purpose:The product construction shall be complied with the requirement of standard and make sure that the product has not an obvious or potential danger.15.7.2Apply to:The product driven by electricity.15.7.3Procedure:a- Please conduct the function and safety check b

31、efore performing the internal checkb- Confirm no strip screw before disassemble the sample; Open the unit carefully;c- Check whether it has internal screw stripped; metallic residue inside; cracked, chipped, broken screw column, rib, rim, etc.;d- Check the workmanship of the soldering joint; Check the firmness of the internal wire connectio
