When I had my experience with a primary school student last year, I encountered lots of problems and knew little
2、about the causes and solutions. But now I have more systematic understanding about English teaching. There is an image of the teacher whom I would like to be in my mind. I want to be one member of the class. I dont think the teacher should always wear the face of “authority” and hold the control of
3、the students. I want to give students more freedom to practice self-control, self-manage. And I can give some directions and suggestions. For one thing, these abilities will be helpful to students whole growth; for another, through the interaction and negotiation with students, I want to establish a
4、 more friend-like relationship. As a teacher, I am also a lifelong learner. Just as Confusion said, “If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher”. I need to learn from my fellow teachers, who are more experienced or have different teaching experience. Also I can learn a
5、 lot from students. Every year the curriculum changed, and the students are different. To face these challenges, I have to learn to keep the pace of the changes. I try to treat every student equally and fairly. I acknowledge and respect the differences of the students. Every student is special and i
6、mportant, no matter whom he or she is, where he or she comes from. In my class, I want them to have same chance to learn, to express, to grow; however, it doesnt mean that I will treat every student in the same way. I evaluate students according to their performances and progress in the class rather
7、 than the scores of the tests. I advocate praise and positive reinforcement when responding to the students; if criticism is needed, I try to make it clear and specific. Students learn not only the knowledge about the subject but also how to learn. I give students some evaluation-free homework, whic
8、h can be evaluated by students themselves or by their peers. I adopt various group activities in my class, and I encourage cooperative learning. Cooperative activities create more active atmosphere, reduce students learning anxiety, give them more confidence, and motivate them to learn. But group ac

Of course they are not isolated from each other. Rather, they are interrelated. For example, word stress
16、determines how the letters are pronounced and sentence stress makes it necessary to pronounce words differently from when they are read individually.
