She always avoids responsibility, those are the typicalbasic features of the English polite social dignitaries. The heroine Becky

Thackeray is a prolific writer, he has a collection of 35 volume; His early works are humorous stories and poetry,

It follows the lives of two women
11、, Becky Sharp and Amelia Sedley, amid their friends and family. The novel is now considered a classic, and has inspired several film adaptations. In 2003, Vanity Fair was listed at #122 on the BBCs The Big Read poll of the UKs best-loved books. The books title comes from John Bunyans allegorical sto
12、ry The Pilgrims Progress, first published in 1678 and still widely read at the time of Thackerays novel. In that work, Vanity Fair refers to a stop along the pilgrims route: a never-ending fair held in a town called Vanity, which is meant to represent mans sinful attachment to worldly things.This no
