13、以精确地指出自己的老师平时所在的位置?回想一下,每次参加会议时,你是不是都习惯坐在同样的地方呢?也许你喜欢坐在后排靠近过道的位置;也许你喜欢坐在房间里靠近正中的位置;也许你喜欢坐在前排。不可否认,大多数人总喜欢房间里某个特定的位置。 人们总喜欢在自己的舒适区域呆着,因为大家按自己的习惯行事时会觉得自在。如果一个人仅仅是喜欢在出席会议时选择房间里的特定位置,这当然没错。但如果作为教师,却总是习惯站在教室里某个特定的地点,这就有问题了。这种情况下,距离教师较远的地方,往往更容易出现课堂纪律问题。多数教师只能照顾到离自己不远的学生。为什么会有很多学生喜欢后排的座位呢?正是因为他们觉得,自己距离教师越

14、远,就越可以肆无忌惮。 事实上,如果你询问一个学生,他的老师通常会站在哪里,他或许答不上来。我们也经常听到教师说:“每当我四处走动时,我的学生都会变得很紧张。他们不喜欢我靠得太近。”凡是这么说的教师往往不喜欢离开自己的舒适区域,因此一旦他开始在教室里四处走动,学生就会感到不适应甚至变得很紧张。 课程 借此机会,我准备和你分享一个自己观察得出的结果。我发现在教师大会上,总会发现有教师习惯坐在同一把椅子上。 为什么有些人总是喜欢呆在同样的地方呢?仔细想想,如果问你班级里的学生自己的老师平时都站在哪里,学生能一下就指出来吗? 事实上,在高效教师的课堂里,没人能确定这位老师接下来会走到什么位置。而且,

15、学生也习惯了自己的老师在教室内不停地走动,他们都见怪不怪了,但是教师并不是漫无目的地随意走动每次巡视他都会有特定的目的,只不过教师走动的十分频繁且经过了深思熟虑,因此学生猜测不到下一秒自己的老师会往哪里走。比如,正在进行课堂讨论时,老师发现安德鲁走神了。她没有瞪他,没有口头警告他,也没有让他感到难堪,而是轻轻走到他身边停下。这一举动会使安德鲁立刻回过神来,开始参与到课堂讨论中。安德鲁心里清楚,老师可能已经发现自己刚才心不在焉了,不管你是不是真的注意到安德鲁走神了,最重要的是安德鲁的心思回到课堂上来了。 在这里,我举一个不那么高效的老师的例子,作为对比。面对同样的情形,当这位老师发现安德鲁走神时,很可能第一反应是警告他集中注意力。如果安德鲁没有立刻乖乖坐好,这位老师也许会向前探出身体继续警告。这是一种带有威胁的肢体动作,安德鲁会因为老师如此针对自己而感到不安。于是,安德鲁很可能因此而记恨老师。 实践 在接下来的几天时间里,请特别留意自己在课堂上的表现。请离开你已经习惯的舒适区域,你越有意识地锻炼自己,就越能提高自己的技能,也就越能高效地掌控课堂。我们的老师无处不在老师在教室里四处走动她无处不在。 下一步会去哪儿?我不知道她在这儿、在那儿,无处不在她一刻不停地四处走动。闭上眼睛,你不知道睁眼后她会在哪儿。她在帮助我、帮助你,帮助我们所有人她在这儿、在那儿我们的老师无处不在。
