6、etail of which are clearly outlined in the Tender Documents.The scope of work covers construction works of GTC/644A/2014 - Extension of Distribution Network (Phase 6 - Package A)In line with Kahramaas commitment to provide customers with high quality water service, there is an urgent need to extend
7、distribution network to Doha and the rapidly growing remote communities all over the State of QatarIt is envisioned that if piped water supply will reach the rural areas of Mekaines, Duhail, Bu Ghawan (Shahaniya), Muaither, Umm Grain Al Khor, and other areas located all over the State of Qatar, it w
8、ill significantly reduce the number of consumers mostly dependent from the delivery of water tankers, resulting to an efficient water supply service in terms of quality and sufficient service pressureAccordingly, Kahramaa is urgently implementing GTC 644/2014 -Extension of Distribution Network (Phas
9、e 6) project which is divided into two (2) separate packages described as follows:Package A: GTC/644A/2014 -Extension of Distribution Network (Phase 6 - Package A)Works under Package A will involve the supply, construction, testing and commissioning of 196 KM DI pipelines of various sizes (ranging f
10、rom 100mm to 1200mm) complete with necessary fittings, valves, fire hydrants, air valves, washouts, concrete chambers and etc. covering Mekaines, Duhail, Bu Ghawan (Shahaniya) locations and to other areas located all over the state of QatarPackage B: GTC/644A/2014 -Extension of Distribution Network
11、(Phase 6 - Package B)Works under Package B will involve the supply, construction, testing and commissioning of 194 KM DI pipelines of various sizes (ranging from 100mm to 1200mm) complete with necessary fittings, valves, fire hydrants, air valves, washouts, concrete chambers and etc. Covering Mekain

The works is principally located at Mekaines Area Covering areas along the laterals of Salwa Road between Abu Nakla & Hazm Abel-JihhWater Supply to Animal Farms at Bu Ghawan (Shahaniya) -Zone 80The project covers construction of approximately 24.3Km of pipelines with sizes ranging fro
16、m 100mm to 400mm diameter of DI pipelines. The works is principally located at Bu Ghawana (Shahaniya) with other selected farms at Zone 80Extension of Distribution Network to Other AreasThis will cover supply and construction of approximately 100 Km of DI pipelines with size ranges from 100mm to 120
17、0mm as shown in Table below3. PROJECT ORGANIZATION The proposed project organization structure indicates how the Project Management Team (PMT) is organized. The PMT is generally based on site and fully dedicated to the Project. The PMT is logically divided into two major groups: Construction and Tec
18、hnical. Here below is a description of key persons of this organization. a) Project Manager: an authorized qualified professional leading the overall team effort in delivering this project in accordance with Contract requirements.b) Construction Manager: leads the construction effort on site and is
19、in-charge of the following key personnel:i. Superintendent Roads & Earthworksii. Superintendent Pipingiii. Superintendent Structuresiv. Surveyorv. Temporary Works CoordinatorThe Construction team is further subdivided into zone / function supervision to support the construction sequence.c) Technical
20、 Superintendent: leads the Technical/Engineering efforts on the project and is in-charge of the following functions:i. Construction Coordinationii. Production of Shop Drawings and as built drawingsiii. Procurement iv. Planning and reportingv. Quantity surveyingThe organization of activities is based
21、 on the premise of lumping all interdependent activities under one unit such that interfacing and coordination between the various units is kept to a minimum. Support Activities such as surveying, asphalt production, plant, rebar cutting and bending, carpentry workshop, screens, crushers, scaffoldin
22、g pre-cast, etc are also grouped in a manner to minimize duplicated supervision and interface coordination.Find herein after detailed project organization chart proposed for the project4. MOBILIZATION AND LOGISTICSWe will allow adequate period from notice to commence for our initial and primary mobi
23、lization and in addition during this period, prepare the initial submittals for long lead material during the early stages of the project. We are placing importance on Key suppliers/subcontractors participating in this early mobilization period and would therefore, motivate their early appointments.
24、 These, however are scheduled as part of the submittals/approval processes in conjunction with and in consultation with each subcontract appointment during the development and preparation on the Contract Master Program, which must be submitted within a specific period from the notice to proceed4.1 T
25、emporary Facilities Mobilization will be in accordance with the contract requirements where all temporary facilities required for the execution of permanent works are put in place within the mobilization period 4.1.1 Offices For KAHRAMAA and KAHRAMAAS EngineerNew portable units shall be provided for
26、 the exclusive use of KAHRAMAA and KAHRAMAAS Engineer with the following types:-Type 2 unit (A) : 1 Nos.Type 2 unit (B) :Offices shall be Heated and Air-Conditioned.Engineers site offices will be furnished as specified in the tender documents. All furniture, fittings and equipment will be new and of
27、 high standard.A car park for two cars will be constructed adjacent to each office building to provide shaded accommodation for the sole use of the Engineers staff.The Offices will be provided and erected on site in a location approved by KAHRAMAA within one month of the effective date of the contra
28、ct4.1.2 Contractors Site Establishment Temporary Offices After obtaining approval of the Engineer. Temporary buildings with sufficient Areas will be provided, mentioned and removed on completion of the work. Work Shops:- The following workshops will be constructed at the site: Rebar work shop Mainte
29、nance work shop for Mechanical and Electrical repairs for both equipment and vehicles. All workshops will be equipped with necessary tools and equipment. Storage Areas:Open and covered stores will be constructed with sufficient areas for the material required to be stored on the site.4.2 Telephone L
30、inesWe planned to provide the temporary site with telephone suitable number of telephone lines and sets4.3 Lighting and PowerAll arrangements will be made for the supply and distribution of temporary lighting and power to the site for all purposes in connection with the contract4.4 Sewage systemAll necessary arrangements will be made for the disposal of sewage water including the construction and insta
