Presentation（1）出示一张刘翔的图片，问：Who is he? Whats he like? 引导学生回答：He is Liu Xiang. He is tall. Yes, Liu Xiang is tall. （出示姚明的图片。）Look at Yao

How heavy are you?”引导学生用“I am kg heavy.”回答问题。kg=kilogram 领读，拼读单词并练习说句子。让学生理解在实际句子中应该使用复

I am older/younger than you.利用大家都非常熟悉的名人刘翔和姚明引入新单词taller和shorter的学习，形象直观，便于学生接受。而在学习stronger和thinner的时候，则直接用教师和学生的实际体重做为教学资源，让学生在实际生活中学习

9、新知识。同时教育学生注意正确的饮食和锻炼，树立正确的健康观。Chant是小学生学习英语时最喜欢的练习方式，在学习新知时，用chant 加深学生的印象，便他们牢固掌握新学单词。（4） Listen to the tape. Listen to the tape and repeat.（5） Read after teacher/ little teachers/ in groups.只有听得准才能模仿得准，说得好。所以听录音模仿语音、语调是学习英语中非常重要的一步。合作学习，小组互助既有利于学生合作精神的养成，也有助于每个学生都更好得掌握读音。3.Practice（1） Read the new

12、的设计，不仅是一个听力活动，实际上是一个听说结合的综合活动，因为学生在听到教师的指令后，必须有一个交流的过程，而在这个过程中，教师要求他们必须用英语进行交流获得信息，这就更进一步地练习了所学知识。用一个形式活泼的chant，巩固所学新知，为下面的拓展作好了铺垫。4. 14、环节的拓展应用中，我设计了利用自身数据做对话的活动。这个活动把要邢课所学的关于个人信息的三个方面综合在一起，编成一个综合性的对话，如果这部分掌握较好的话，为下面的对话学习将打下良好的基础。5.Progress（1） 看板书，总结形容词比较级的变化规则。根据规则做练习,写出下列形容词的比较级形式：small- long- big- coolhigh- kind- tall- young-（2） 做基础训练中本部分的相关练习。Homework（1） 回家测量自己和父母的身高、体重。利用获得的数据做一个对话，和父母练习。（2） 尝试用“I am than.”来描述自己。形容词的比较级变化规则是本节课

15、学习的重点，所以在课堂将近结束的时候，把这一变化规则再重新认识一次，让学生加深印象，并紧接着做一些练习进行巩固，让学生真正掌握这一知识技能。做活动手册练习是为了检测学生对本节课内容的掌握情况，以达到当堂达标。板书设计Unit 1 How Tall Are You?
