SCOPEThis Standard defines the Packaging Rules, Requirements and Guidelines of Motorola Communications Enterprise.2. APPLICA

6、TIONThese packaging procedures apply to shipments to Motorola Inc.They also apply to drop-shipments between suppliers of Motorola and to offshore supplier shipments.3. DRAWING REFERENCEThis Standard shall appear as a specification note on all piece part drawings. Specific packaging notes, when specified on the Motorola drawing, may take

11、 precedence over this Standard, however, only in areas of conflict. HOW TO SPECIFIY ON MOTOROLA DRAWINGS: 12A10601A Packaging Requirements for inbound shipments to Motorola.5. GENERAL PACKAGING RULES All piece parts shall be packed in a serviceable, conveyable container of proper strength. Container

12、 strength shall be indicated in the box certificate identification that is stamped on the carton. (See Section for static sensitive components.) The size of the container is contingent on the part size. The maximum overall container size limitation is 24”L x 24”W x 24”H, (61.0 cm L x 61.0 cm W x 61.

13、0 cm H). Maximum container size limitations are not applicable for parts larger than 24” in any direction. Supplier must discuss large part issues with Motorola prior to shipment, to secure agreement. The minimum overall container size limitation is 6”L x 6”W x 3”H, (15.2 cm L x 15.2 cm W x 7.6 cm H

14、). For all containers, an efficient product to package ratio shall be maintained by using the minimum amount of packaging necessary for functional requirements. All non-value added packaging materials shall be eliminated. The weight of a container, filled with product, shall not exceed 50 lbs., (22.

15、7 kg.). Outer-pack material should be certified for maximum load (stress or cumulative weight) due to stacking multiple layers of materials on pallets. For packages with product weighing greater than 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) the corrugated containers shall be certified for the weight being shipped and be c

16、learly marked with Icon symbology recommending two persons lift the container or use a handcart. For plastic packaging, including shrink-wrap and reusable containers, 25% post-consumer recycled content shall be used. The recycling symbol, including text describing the recycled content, shall be disp

17、layed on packaging. Parts shall be packed within the conveyable corrugated container to prevent damage during shipment. Dunn

19、age (loose packing material used to protect parts from load shift and in-transit damage) shall contain the highest recyclable content possible, consist of readily recyclable and/or reusable material, and be kept to the Minimum amount necessary for functional requirements (See Section for Preferable

20、Materials List). When tissue or paper wrap is used, the enclosed part quantity shall be marked on the outside of the wrapping (for static sensitive components see section . Parts subject to contamination, such as plated parts, shall be packed in plastic bag or equivalent within the container. Silver

21、 plated parts shall be packed with a camphor cloth, (or equivalent), to prevent tarnishing. All intermediate packaging should be free of harmful substances that would affect solderability. Parts that are difficult to stack shall have a cardboard or corrugated pad between layers. Containers shall not

22、 be filled above the top edge of the container. Special packing instructions, other than those listed here, are to be specified on the Motorola Component part drawing, purchase order and/or specified at the time of quotation. Any change in the packaging must be brought to the attention of Motorola f

23、or review prior to its use. All Motorola production material must come to the Receiving Department through a valid purchase order. It is necessary that all purchase orders contain only one Motorola part number. All boxes require the following tracking information on either end of the container (excl

24、uding the top and bottom): Motorola part number, purchase order number, correct box number (Example: the box for a shipment of 5 containers shall appear as: box 1 of 5, Box 2 of 5, Box 3 of 5, Box 4 of 5, Box 5 of 5) see attachment II. Motorola will furnish tracking labels upon request. When more th

25、an one Motorola part number is packed within an outside master carton, the inside conveyable cartons shall have the Motorola part number, purchase order number, and correct box quantity on them. The quantity of the entire contents shall be indicated on the outside of the master carton. Bar coded lab

26、els are the preferred method of labeling the order for shipment and must adhere to the guidelines described in Motorolas Receiving Bar Code Specification 12M13933A01. The packing list shall be attached to the outside of the container, (See Attachments I and II), in an appropriate envelope and in a l

27、ocation accessible to Receiving personnel, or the incoming documents shall be in the possession of carrier personnel to facilitate processing the material by Receiving personnel. Special handling instructions, such as “FRAGILE”, “THIS SIDE UP,” etc., shall be clearly visible on the container. Hazard labeling must comply with Title 49 codes of Federal and State Regulations or an equivalent National Regulations or International Standards. The actual Country of Manufacture must be marked on all
