Say: Mr Zhang is going to teach Grade 2, Class 2 to swim. He is going to take the class to a swimming pool near the school. Read his

5、 notes carefully and then listen to Mr Zhang, number the sentences in the right order. 2. Listen to the tape and number the sentences in the right order. Students work in pairs. Then check the answers in class.（b-a-e-g-c-d-f） 3. Compare the sentences in the dialogue and in the notes.（1） Be at the sc

6、hool gate at ten to twelve. = You must beat the school gate at ten to twelve. （2） Dont be late. = You mustnt be late.（3） The good swimmers can go to the deep end of the pool. = The good swimmers can go to the deep end of the pool, if they like. Students compare the sentences, discuss them in groups

7、and then report their conclusion about how to change the sentences. 4. Practice: Students do Ex. 4 in Lesson 1 in pairs. Then write the answers on the blackboard. Draw a conclusion as the follows: 1. We use “ tell sb to do sth ” to report orders. The negative form is “ tell sb not to do

12、 sth”. 2. We use“ask sb to do sth ” to report requests. The negative form is “ ask sb not to do sth”.Step Four Practice 1. Go through the dialogue in Book 3A Lesson 2 Ex.1. Then do the two sentences below the dialogue to practise using “ tell/ask sb （not） to do sth”. In groups, check the answers. 2.
