The title of the passage is This is my sister. To make my presentation clear, Id like to divide the te

2、aching structure into 5 parts: analysis of teaching material, analysis of Ss, analysis of teaching and learning methods, teaching procedure and blackboard design. Now I am about to present them one by one. 1.Analysis of teaching material This lesson is from Unit 3 of Grade 7(Section A),PEP. This tex

3、t is about identifing and introducing family members, which the content is related to Ss daily life. The new pattern Is this your sister? is based on Is this your pencil? and the sentence Who is this? is naturely developed from the one Whats this?. There are lots of new words in this part, which are

4、 helpful for them to introduce someone in daily life. The task in this lesson is not easy. According to the Ss English level and the demands of the New Standard English, I divide my lesson objectives into three categories: knowledge objects,ability objects and moral objects. Knowledge Objects: To en

5、able Ss to grasp new words grandfather, grandmother, grandparents, father, mother, parents, son, daughter,sister,brother,aunt,uncle,cousin,friend,these,those. Train Ss to have a general idea of Plural Number and know when to use Plural Number and when to use Singular Number. Ability Objects:To promo

6、te Ss ability on reading,listening,speaking and writing. Cultivate Ss the ability of introducing family members and answering the questions about family members. Know the relationship between family members. Emotional Objects:To raise Ss interests in studying English. Improve the relationship betwee

7、n Ss and family member, strengthen Ss love to family member. Cultivate Ss culture awareness of Plural Number expression difference between Chinese and English. After explaining the teaching objects,there are some important new words and pattern need to be introduced. There are Teaching Key points an

8、d Difficult Points. Key Points: Vocabulary:grandfather,grandmother,grandparents,father,mother,parents,son,daughter,sister,brother,aunt,uncle,cousin,friend,these,those.Difficult Points: Correct usage of the patternThese/Those are. Awareness of Plural Number in English. 2.That is my analysis of materi

9、al. And then I want to talk something about the Ss. Ss in Grade 7 keep strong interest in English study,have a definite English learning motivation and the active learning attitude. They have the ability to complete tasks by cooperating with one another. They have begun to learn English since primar

10、y school, so they have grasped some basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. But they have low abstract thinking ability and their attention can be scattered easily. This lesson plans to present the text through some activities, such as missing game, role-play game etc to strengthen

11、 Ss interest and attention. 3.Above are analysis for both teaching material and Ss, here follows the part of teaching approaches. I adopt task-based teaching approach, audio-visual teaching approach and situational teaching method to help achieve teaching goals. I also ask Ss to take their family ph

12、oto for this lesson in advance. 4. For a good class, excellent teaching methods only are far away from enough. Ss need to be encouraged to participate the procedure through pair work, individual work, cooperation and practice. After that , they can improve the comprehensive language usage ability .

13、5. OK, so much for the teaching methods and learning methods. Next comes my most important part, the teaching procedure. Based on Ss psychological characteristics,in the class ,I will stick to the theory the Ss are the master in the class ,and the teachers act as the director Learn to play, play to

14、learn I design the following procedures . Step 1 Lead in and presentation: Show a PPT with TVdramaGrowing Pains to show family member and all the family member words as well as explain the relationship between them. Lead Ss to know the use of these/those in pattern These/Those are my parents/ grandp

15、arents . Draw a family tree on blackboard based on above information and emphasize the relationship again to make all Ss clear. Step 2 Practice Use missing game to consolidate Ss memories to the new words. Keep all Ss eyes closed,I take one word out from the family tree and encourage Ss to speak the

16、 missing word out after opening their eyes. Write down the words which most of Ss can not remember well and play the tape to deepen Ss impression. Step 3 Consolidation Based on task-based teaching method, I divide Ss into several groups and hold a competition of introducing their family to team memb

17、ers and give gift to the best group. Adopt situational dialogue approach to enable Ss to introduce their family members to Ss who come to their home with Singular Number and Plural Number both. Step 4 Summary: Use the family tree again to strengthen Ss ability to introduce family members and the dis

18、tinction of Singular Number and Plural Number. Step 5 Homework: Ss exchange photos with classmates and introduce others family to parents and give a performance in next class.
