PurposeThe purpose of this European Supplier Quality Manual (ESQM) is to specify Metzeler Automotive Profile Systems quality system requirements for our suppliers. These requirements extend from supplier sele

16、ction, to new product development, to production.C. ScopeThis manual applies to all Direct Material/ Production Material/ Service suppliers. This manual applies to Indirect Material/Service suppliers only when it is spelled out in a Metzeler Purchase Order.D. ResponsibilitySuppliers are responsible

17、for meeting the ESQM requirements. Failure to meet theserequirements may result in the loss of existing and/or future Metzeler business, in addition to reimbursement of the cost to Metzeler resulting from those failures.Suppliers shall ensure that their direct material/ production material/ service

18、suppliers are consistent with the concepts min in DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 as well as it is possible in the ISO/TS 16949:2002.Suppliers shall adopt the standards of Zero Defects and 100% On Time Delivery toMetzeler. Suppliers shall understand that any established PPM target is not an AcceptedQuality Lev

19、el, but represents an intermediate continuous improvement step towardshipment of components/materials meeting the Zero Defects requirement.E. LanguageMetzeler Automotives official language is English. All official communication with Metzeler will be done in English. Documents may display the native

20、language in integrated in such as a parallel translation. In this instance, the English is the only valid version.F. GeneralThis manual is distributed only via the posting on the Metzeler website Printed copies are uncontrolled documents. While Metzeler will communicate to the suppliers major revisi

21、ons to this manual, the suppliers are expected to remain up to date on Metzeler requirements by frequently visiting the Metzeler website. Visiting this website should become a business routine as Metzeler shifts to web based communications and applications.
