6、duction Taiwan Professor Zhang Qigong has said, “The old saying: Eat, drink, man, woman who wishes greatly”. For such a standard thing, American culture can be said to be man and woman culture. But the Chinese culture is different, which can be said to be a dietary culture. “Because of the cultural
7、traditions, the American lives tend to men and women, however, due to the narrow gender relations, Chinese people are dumping guidance on life in the restaurants. So the table manners are abundant in culture. Table culture have not been developed enough in the west, but this underdevelopment itself
8、is because of the development of a culture, so it is of significance to learn the food cultures of Chinese and American diet. By the analysis of the differences between Chinese and American table language and cultures, we may understand the respective cultural traditions both in China and America. 2

Besides, the ways of cooking such as complex and changeable characteristics in the world history of cooking is a science. All these make the special food culture. In Chinese daily meal, the basic foods

And the main dishes are meat, vegetables, and seafood etc. They care the collocation of vegetable and meat, color, smell, taste, shape, texture, such as the organic combination of the raise. There exits many cooking methods, such as decoct, fry, blast, rinse, a
11、nd so on. In China, the dietary system includes three meals. A typical Chinese meal begins with some cold food, like boiled peanuts and smashed cucumber. These are followed by the main courses, rice, hot meat and vegetable. At last, soup is brought out, which is followed by the main food, which is u
12、sually noodles or sometimes dumplings. America is a immigration nation. After the Columbus discovered America in 1492, some countries of Europe began to immigrate gradually to North America. With the development of American economy, at the same time they bring life habits, the cooking skills, and so
13、 on to America, so American dining culture can be treated as the combination of north and south. Each nation has its special dishes in the American food market. The American food is popular. They would like to eat quickly, conveniently, with the nutrition intake but dont pay much attention to small aspects. We would think their food, such as hamburgers, hot dog
