3、造就业时机为主题，现实针对性很强。我谨代表中国政府对峰会的召开表示热烈祝贺！It gives me great pleasure to attend the World Economic Forum on Africa. I wish to express thanks to Mr. Schwab for his kind invitation, and to President Jonathan for the meticulous arrangements. The theme of this years forum, “Forging Inclusive Growth, Creating

4、 Jobs, could not have been more relevant. On behalf of the Chinese government, I would like to warmly congratulate you on the convening of the forum.非洲是世界文明的重要发源地。近百年来，这片古老而神奇的土地发生了巨大变化。非洲人民掌握了自己的命运，实现了民族解放和国家独立。进入新世纪以来，非洲经济迸发出巨大活力，连续十几年年均增长超过5%，经受住了国际金融危机的严峻考验。非洲社会总体保持稳定，经济进入增长快车道，正在成为崛起的大陆。Africa

5、is an important cradle of world civilization. Over the past century, great changes have taken place on this ancient and fascinating land. The people of Africa have taken their destiny in their own hands and achieved national liberation and independence. And since the beginning of the new century, Af

6、rica has demonstrated strong economic vitality, realizing an average annual growth of over 5% for 10-plus years in a row, despite the severe challenges brought by the global financial crisis. Africa has maintained overall social stability and fast economic growth, and emerged as a continent on the r

7、ise.三天前，我在非盟总部演讲时说，非洲堪称世界“三个一极。首先，非洲有54个国家，注重以“一个声音说话，已成为世界政治舞台上的重要一极。第二，非洲经济总量超过2万亿美元，2013年全球增长最快的10个国家，有7个在非洲，已成为全球经济增长的重要一极。第三，非洲有1500多个民族，文明的多样性在这里充分表达，是人类文明的多彩一极。在世界政治经济格局中，多几个“极，总比少几个“极要好。非洲的崛起和形成新的一极，将使世界更民主、更稳定、更具活力，也更丰富多彩，更有利于全球和平、开展与进步。Three days ago, when I spoke at the AU headquarters, I

8、 said Africa was a “pole of the world in three ways. First, Africa, home to 54 countries, is committed to “speaking with one voice. Africa has thus become a major pole in the world political arena. Second, Africa has an economic aggregate of over 2 trillion US dollars. Of the worlds ten fastest grow

9、ing economies in 2013, seven are in Africa. Africa is, therefore, also a major pole in global economic growth. Third, there are more than 1,500 ethnic groups in Africa. Such cultural diversity on full display here makes Africa a colorful pole in human civilization. In the international political and

10、 economic landscape, it is always better to have more “poles than fewer “poles. The rise of Africa as a new pole will only make the world more democratic, stable, dynamic and colorful, and better facilitate peace, development and progress in the world.女士们，先生们！Ladies and Gentlemen,包容性增长已成为世界普遍认同的开展理念

11、。一国之内实现就业、公平和平衡开展是包容性增长，国家和地区之间平衡开展也是包容性增长。中国和非洲加起来有23亿多人口，我们加强互利合作，有助于提升双方人民的福祉，促进世界经济平衡开展，这本身就是世界上最大的包容性增长。Inclusive growth is a development concept widely embraced in the world. It refers to employment, fairness and balanced development in one country. It also refers to balanced development among

12、 countries and regions. To promote mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Africa, with a combined population of over 2.3 billion, contributes to the well-being of the two peoples and more balanced growth of the world economy. This in itself is the most significant inclusive growth in the

13、world.非洲是开展中国家最集中的大陆，尽管不少非洲国家经济相继起飞，但仍面临根底设施薄弱、就业缺乏、贫困人口较多等严峻挑战。中国是世界上人口最多、面积最大的开展中国家，虽然经济总量居世界前列，但在联合国人类开展指数的排名仍在100位左右。中国同非洲面临许多相似的问题，双方的开展互为对方的机遇。本世纪以来，中国经济的强劲增长，带动了非洲大量商品出口，对非洲增长形成支撑；非洲经济的巨大潜能，吸引着中国企业赴非投资兴业，也扩大了中国经济开展的空间。非洲有根底设施和产业开展的现实需求，在这些方面，中国有较强的投资建设能力和充裕产能。双方经济具有很强的互补性，彼此取长补短，互利合作，必将为中非各自开

14、展注入更强劲的动力。Africa is the continent with the largest number of developing countries. Despite the economic take-off in many African countries, daunting challenges remain, such as weak infrastructure, underemployment and poverty. China is the biggest developing country in terms of population and size. I

15、t is true that China is one of the leading economies in the world, but its ranking in the United Nations Human Development Index is still around the 100th place. China and Africa face many similar problems, and they have much to gain from each others development. Since the beginning of this century,

16、 Chinas robust economic growth has brought along massive exports of African goods and provided support for Africas growth. The enormous potential in Africas economy has attracted Chinese investment here and provided greater room for Chinas own economic development. Africa needs infrastructure and industrial development, whereas China has fairly strong capabilities in financing and construction and spare production cap
