The document shall be specified on engineering drawings and supplied to vendors and OEM suppliers to provide acceptance crit

23、eria. For simplicity, axial fans and blower(s) will be inclusively referred to as fan(s). This sub-paragraph shall explain the intent of the document. Any objectives can also be described here. If objectives are not applicable, then omit the word “Objective” from the title.2.2 Scope2.2.1 General Cri

24、terion This document is limited to fans intended for use in desktops, portables, workstations, and servers. This specification is limited to definable performance criteria and physical configuration in the engineering areas of mechanical, thermal acoustical, electrical, reliability, shock/vibration,

25、 and regulatory. Specification for areas of combined performance shall also be included. Product specific details shall be externally referenced to complementary engineering drawings. This documents scope does NOT include criteria specifying test procedures or manufacturing process. Test process met

26、hods and manufacturing details shall be specified by external reference.2.2.2 Default Criterion Where neither the engineering drawing nor this document establish a pass fail criterion for a given characteristic or performance point, the component shall be validated by Dell engineering for conformanc

27、e to system level specific application, generalized pass fail being established by the responsible Dell Engineer. This default criterion shall be applied to existing products (grandfather rule) during the process of adoption of this spec until all applicable products are fully defined on engineering
