11、动词(am, is, are) 后加动词ing(即现在分词)，表示现在进行时。 如：I am doing my homework now. Look, they are dancing. He is watering the flowers.2.介词后加动词ing，作介词的宾语。 如：We are thinking of making a new plan for the next term. Shall we have a rest or get down to doing our work? Kitty spends two hours in doing her homework ever

12、y day. I am looking forward to going to Beijing next week. We went out instead of watching TV at home. What/How about going to the cinema? 3.作形容词的宾语。 如：The music is well worth listening to more than once. We are busy preparing for the coming sports meeting.4.作定语。动名词作定语，往往表示被修饰词的某种用途。 a walking stick

13、= a stick for walking a washing machine= a machine for washing a reading room= a room for reading a shopping centre= a centre for shopping5.常接动名词的动词和短语有： like, enjoy, love, be good at, do well in, go on, keep on, finish, practise, give up 等 可用一句口诀帮助记忆“三个喜欢两擅长，继续完成练习不放弃”。6.可以接动名词和不定式的动词。remember（记住）后

14、面跟动名词，表示“记得做过某事”；跟to+动词原形， 表示“记得要去做某事”。如： I remember posting the letter today. 我记得今天把信寄走了。 Please remember to post the letter today. 请记住今天要把信寄走。 forget（忘记）后面跟动名词，表示“忘记做过某事（实际做过）”；跟to+动词原形，表示“忘记去做某事（实际没做）”。如： I forget doing homework this morning. 我忘记今天早上做过作业了。 I forgot to do homework this morning. 我忘

15、记今天早上做作业了。 stop（停止）后面跟动名词，表示“停止做某事”；跟to+动词原形，表示“停止正在做的事，而去做别的事”。如： Stop smoking, please. 请不要吸烟。 We are tired. Lets stop to have a rest. 我们累了，让我们停下来休息一下。 like（喜欢）后面跟动名词，表示一个人的爱好和习惯，意思是“喜欢干某事”；跟to+动词原形，常用于would like to do something，表示“某人想要、愿意干某事”。如： I like taking a walk after supper every day. 我喜欢每天晚饭
