Viewports:The graphical elements of the current simulation are represented in this window using 3D OpenGL graphics. The user can interact with the display window whi
、le the ALT key is pressed. See table below: ALT+LMB - Orbit in the perspective view, Zoom to area in the curve editor tool. ALT+MMB - Pan. ALT+RMB - Zoom. Multiple windows are available in RealFlow. The active window will have its name in green colour. You can change the layout apearance in FilePref

You can also create as many perspectives views as you want by pressing ALT+N or within View New Viewport Geometry in viewports can be visualizaed in 5 diferent ways: Wireframe: Only the vertex and edges are shown. Bounding Box: The wireframe of a Box covering the volume of the object
、is shown. Flat Shaded: The objects shows their faces shaded directly by their normals against the light. Smoth Shaded: The faces of the objects appear smoothed out. Textured: The objects show their textures. Listed below, you have some useful shorcuts to help you navigate within the viewports. 1 - V

、odes of the selected objects. High-resolution (1024x768 or greater) displays can utilize as much as 50% of the CPU time with slow graphic cards. Try resizing RealFlows window and make it as small as possible when computing long, complex or overnight simulations. You can obtain the same effect by by
、pressing ALT+D which disables the main OpenGL window. Also, test different screen configurations (colors and resolution) to obtain optimum performance of this software. =2. With smaller resolutions, you can still access all the controls by scrolling over the control panel. These pan
、els contain all the controlling parameters and functions for the creation of particles, fluids, Realwave, daemons, constrains, meshes, object import and other general settings. =3. Time Line:You can drag the time-slider with the mouse to move forwards and backwards through the simulation. The time sl
、ider will let you preview the simulation only if the simulation data has been cached on disk. In this case the calculated frames will be shown in orange and the selected viewports name will turn to green. We have included a color code, placed in little boxes, at the beginning and at the end of the T
、ime Line. Each box represents a category that is being saved. The list below shows you wich colour represent wich: Particles Meshes Dynamics Viewport PreviewKeep in mind that not all categories can be displayed per frame at play. Omly Particles and Dynamics can. Otherwise, the simulation cannot be p
、reviewed since the data is unavailable. In order to preview the simulation, open the Export Central button (upper toolbar) and set the output options for the elements you want to export. We have included a couple of text boxes at the beginning and at the end to let you mark to frame numbers. These va
、lues let you play, preview or mesh genetare the desired frame range. The values of each box is represented in black in the time line. =4. Simulation Controls:These controls are located in the lower right zone of the application:RESET: Restarts the simulation. This will completely reset the simulatio
、n to the initial settings. Previous simulation data will be overwritten.ACTION: This will start the simulation. You can stop and resume the simulation at any time by pressing ACTION. Depending on the Lock Simulation button state, the objects will follow the animation.LOCK SIMULATION: Lock the simula
、tion by disabling the animation of objects. This is useful when an initial stabilization/relaxation step is needed, letting the fluid adopt a stable configuration. Filling a glass of water that is animated will typically need the fluid to fill the object previously, without animation. The Lock Simul
、ation button should be enabled at this time. Some controllers are disabled while RealFlow is computing (ACTION is pressed). This way, RealFlow protects itself against sudden changes in critical data right in the middle of the process. However, the user can always stop the process, change any paramete
、rs and resume the simulation. Sometimes the simulation will not stop instantaneously when the ACTION button is turned off some cycles may be required to complete the calculations currently being performed. The progress bar tells you how far in the current frame the simulation is. Theres also a curren
、t frame counter at the right of the progress bar. =5. Time Indicators:There are a couple of time indicators at the bottom of the main window. The first one (Time) shows the simulation time, (Step) shows the amount of time needed for each calculation cycle. Lower Step values (around 0.0001 or less) w
、ill point to difficulties in the simulation engine (i.e. too complex collisions or high pressure/density values). And a third one (Elapsed time) which indicates the time since the action button was pressed. =6. Transform Text Boxes:The numeric values for the node position attributes. These values wil
、l represent the position, rotation or scale vector depending on the edition mode currently selected in the upper toolbar (Move / Rotate / Scale).=7. 26、ve Project as.: Saves current project allowing you to change its name. Revert: Opens the last saved version of the project. Open Project Folder: Opens the folder containing the project. Import: Import SD scene: Imports a scene in .SD format and include its objects in the objects panel. You need the
、appropriate NextLimit plug-in to save an SD file in your 3D program. TIP: Particles get their properties from the assigned emmiter If your imported particles were originaly dumb and you assign it to a fluid type emitter, it will turn into fluid. RealFlow Particle Bin file (single): Imports a single
、particle BIN file into the current selected emitter. Previously Exported like seen below (usefull to start simulations from desired states). Export: RealFlow Particle Bin file (single): Exports all particles positions at current frame. Update SD scene: Updates, if possible, the previously imported S
、D scene keeping object properties. Summary Info: Displays information about each element on the current scene. Recent workspaces: Shows a list with the last .flw files opened. Preferences: This command will open a new dialog window containing parameters related to general characteristics of RealFlow (layout, controls and environment parameters). Enviroment:Through the Enviroment tab option
